Virtual farmers manage their agricultural empires in a new, lush East Asian landscape filled with rice paddies, a North American environment with plenty of open space, or a Central European location with green fields between ponds and rivers.
Building their legacy single-handedly or cooperatively in multiplayer, they can now grow two types of rice, spinach, and other new crops – choosing from well over 20 overall. Buffalos and other animals join the livestock pens, while new production chains and constructions extend business opportunities. More features and details will be revealed soon.
Machine enthusiasts enjoy an ensemble of over 400 authentic vehicles, tools & items from more than 150 international top brands. Among them: Case IH, CLAAS, Fendt, John Deere, Kubota, Massey Ferguson, New Holland, Valtra, and many others. With Asian farming, new types of specialized machines get introduced.
All farmers feel a deeper connection to fields and nature thanks to a general tech upgrade with improved graphics and physics based on the latest and modding-friendly GIANTS Engine 10: Distance fog, enhanced shadows, dynamic weather effects, ground deformation and more boost the immersion of a romantic farming life.
Since its launch one year ago, Farming Simulator 25 has sold 4 Million copies world-wide.
Publisher/developer GIANTS Software announced the sales milestone alongside new content that virtual farmers can look forward to in its upcoming sophomore year.
Year 2: New Packs & Major Expansion
The Year 2 Season Pass will extend Farming Simulator 25 with additional packs and a major expansion throughout 2026. While the first and second quarters of the year will see the release of two packs, the fourth quarter is reserved for something bigger: another major expansion, following the recent Highlands Fishing expansion which introduced a Scotland-inspired Highlands environment and aquaculture alongside over 20 new machines and gameplay mechanics. More info to follow. A bonus machine is ready to claim instantly: the JCB WFT – the world’s fastest tractor.
Four Million Farmers World-Wide
“It’s amazing,” says Boris Stefan, CSO and Head of Publishing at GIANTS Software. “It’s not the sales number itself, but the enormous engagement and the overwhelmingly positive feedback we received from our community following the conclusion of Year 1,” he explains, having rung a real-life ship’s bell in the office to celebrate the successful launch of the latest sea-themed expansion. “We’re grateful for our fans and four Million farmers and do not take this success for granted”, he says.
More Free Content on the Way
While the expansion, past packs, and free content updates exceeded the number of over 400 authentic machines and 150 real brands by far, GIANTS Software has even more planned for everyone: Aside from the Year 2 Season Pass that saves up to 30 % compared to buying the two packs and one expansion separately, a variety of free content is already in production and to be expected soon and throughout 2026 as well.
Farming enthusiasts will want to check out the Farming Simulator 25 Collectors' Edition: The PC-exclusive box includes a USB ignition lock to start the engines of in-game tractors, a 16-bit Mega Drive inspired version plus a soundtrack CD with 15 original tracks from Chris Hülsbeck for retro lovers, and more.
Currently available for PC/Mac, PS5 and Xbox Series X|, Farming Simulator 25 is coming to Nintendo Switch 2 on December 9, 2025.
