Across the Obelisk is a dynamic deckbuilding rogue-lite RPG that challenges players to create a party from a diverse set of characters, engage in tactical card-based combat, and find a unique path across a world that changes in reaction to their decisions.
Choose among 12 unlockable characters and form your party. Each one of them have his own cards, items, mechanics, stats and strengths... it's not the same to play with a fire wizard than a shadow mage, would you play with two healers or rather play with a damage oriented group?
Playable alone or with up to three friends, Across the Obelisk provides a different experience with each playthrough thanks to its branching world paths, highly customizable heroes, hundreds of different cards with variable upgrades, and much more. Each one of you will control a hero in combat but all of you will have to work together and decide what's best for the group... will you help the farmers against a group of small fiery demons or will you search among the ashes for nice loot?
More than 500 upgradeable cards and 200 items to choose, will let you customize your heroes with different builds: poisons, bleeds, defensive skills... there are a lot of combinations that you can apply to each hero.
Each game will be different. Take a path, fight your way through it, complete quests and the world will evolve in front of you. Lots of hidden places and mysteries to be solved await you in Across the Obelisk.
Paradox announced a new DLC for Across the Obelisk, Necropolis of the Damned, which will launch on December 2, 2025 for PC (Steam) at $19.99 / £16.75 / €19.50. To celebrate the release, the base game will also be 40% off.
Necropolis of the Damned is a Dark Fantasy Horror-themed expansion introducing two new heroes – Velarion, the Blood Mage, and Nevermoor, the Death Knight – along with a brand-new zone end ending, dungeon, bosses, mini-bosses, cards, and more.
Velarion and Nevermoor are both multiclass heroes:
- Velarion blends healer and mage roles, specializing in bleed and leech curses that synergize with his spellcasting and support abilities.
- Nevermoor is a healer-warrior hybrid built around a rune-based system: actions such as attacking, defending, and healing generate runes of different colors, each offering distinctive buffs and effects.
The new zone, The Dusk Lands, becomes available at the end of Act 3 as an alternative to The Void. Players will find new events, challenging encounters, bosses and mini-bosses, and an all-new mini-map.
The Necropolis was once a thriving kingdom, now a cursed land tainted by the Count and Countess’s pursuit of immortality. This desperate desire led the Count to accept an ancient bargain, granting him the curse of immortality, while his kingdom was forever altered.
Alongside the DLC, a free update will also go live on December 2, introducing Practice Mode, a safe environment where players can test any deck, card combo, or experimental setup without risking resources.
