Powered by the new Enfusion engine, Arma Reforger enlists you in the fight for two incredible islands, spanning a total of 61 km2, in an authentic Cold War setting. Arma Reforger is the latest installment in the Arma franchise, offering a versatile, creative, and fully-moddable platform that redefines the mil-sim genre.

As a standalone installment, Arma Reforger serves a platform for players to enjoy the new capabilities of Enfusion as well as to provide valuable feedback for the ongoing development of Arma 4. 

Drawing on the success of Bohemia Interactive's debut game Arma: Cold War Assault, Arma Reforger returns players to the island of Everon and a familiar fictional 1980's setting. The terrain itself, part of the fictitious Malden Islands archipelago, has been reimagined and faithfully recreated, with added improvements, such as lakes, ponds, and flowing rivers; each a popular feature request, made possible through Enfusion. The terrain, spanning an impressive 164 km2 area containing 51 km2 of landmass, offers players a stunning environment to discover, replete with dense forests, low-rolling hills, mountains, patchwork fields, and idyllic towns, inspired by the former state of Czechoslovakia and embellished with some necessary overtures towards the nation's historic French heritage and maritime flavor.  

Capture new ground and explore the remote, overseas territory of Arland; a small, 10 km² island belonging to the microstate of Everon. Situated with its mother state in the mid-Atlantic, it occupies a strategic Cold War faultline and is well-known for its military airbase, leased to the Soviet Union.

Bohemia Interactive is proud to reveal the winners of the Make Arma Not War 2025 contest, a global celebration of creativity, innovation, and spirit of the Arma Reforger community.

With over 200 submissions across three categories, this year’s competition showcased the incredible talent of modders who continue to push the limits of what’s possible with the Enfusion engine. From those entries, 33 finalists were selected, and today, the top creators step into the spotlight.

In collaboration with the nonprofit organization Stack Up, Bohemia Interactive also presented a Don’t Fight Alone special award, which emphasizes the positive effects of gaming on mental health and community cooperation. Furthermore, the initiative was focused on raising awareness for both veterans suffering from physical and emotional trauma and the broader global gaming community.

All players are now able to check out all entries, both winning and submitted ones, directly through the in-game Workshop under the “Make Arma Not War 2025” tab.

In terms of playable content, Arma Reforger comes with two multiplayer game modes. The first of these is Conflict— a team versus team deployment, where players are compelled to work together in order to capture strategic positions from the enemy. By base-building and completing tasks, combatants can earn battlefield promotions and rise up through the ranks. There are two factions to choose from, American or Soviet, and each comes with its own era-authentic weapons, vehicles, and equipment. There is also a smaller independent force, with unique apparel that community veterans will quickly recognize from the first game in the company's mil-sim legacy.

The second game mode is a real-time scenario editor, known as Game Master. In this dynamic sandbox, one or more curators take on the role of Game Master, creating responsive combat encounters for other players. Designed with both newcomers and long-standing Arma gamers in mind, this fast-paced, mod-compatible mission-maker ensures playthroughs are different every time. 

Join players online and experience realistic Cold War combat as a US or Soviet Army soldier. Capture strategic positions, dominate the battlefield, and work with others to secure objectives in a dynamic, unforgiving environment. With a selection of period-authentic weapons and vehicles, recreated in meticulous detail, Arma Reforger's multiplayer game mode returns you to war.

Experience co-operative gameplay and dynamic objectives with Combat Ops; a new game mode focusing on small-team tactics. In Combat Ops Arland, infiltrate the island as an elite US unit: strike hard, strike fast, and reach the extraction point. In Combat Ops Everon, join the FIA resistance faction and engage in guerrilla operations to take back your home island.

Control events, create unique missions, and guide players towards victory in Game Master — or submit yourself to the challenges devised by all-powerful creators and fight your way through a responsive sandbox where anything can happen.

Battle it out against an enemy faction to hold key points in fast-paced, tactical gameplay. Capture and Hold is a rapid-fire, high-pressure game mode that concentrates the immersive and realistic gameplay of Arma Reforger into short and intense matches.

• Game Modes: Take to the battlefield in one of Arma Reforger's two multiplayer game modes. Select a side and fight for the island of Everon in Conflict, or edit scenarios in Game Master and manage events as they unfold, guiding players through the chaos of war
• Multiplatform: Experience authentic combat on both Xbox and PC, for the first time in the Arma series. Modded content is no longer exclusive to PC players and can be downloaded by console owners from the content creation repository on the Workshop. 
• Multiplayer: Join other players in the Conflict game mode and fight for the island of Everon across a massive open-world terrain, or create your own scenario as a Game Master in Arma Reforger's real-time editor. 
• Workshop: Expand the game with original modded content or make and share your own! The Workshop is Bohemia Interactive's own integrated, repository service, meaning Xbox players can now unleash the same creative possibilities as PC users.   
• Workbench: Thanks to the Enfusion engine, you can mod Arma Reforger using the exact same tools used to make it. Introduce new mechanics, assets, textures, and more. The only limit is your scripting ability and imagination. Reshape the game and share your own creative vision! 

Arma Reforger, available now on PC (Steam Early Access) and Xbox Series X|S (Game Preview), will showcase the studio's progress on their new Enfusion engine and offer a glimpse of things to come. Functioning as a creative platform, Arma Reforger will provide multiple tools and services for users to modify and adjust the experience.
