G-Rebels is an action-packed combat flight sim set in a dystopian world in the year 2684. Spanning a fully explorable open world of more than 12,000 square kilometers, G-Rebels‘ will take you across neon metropolises, remote outposts, advanced research facilities, industrial factories, and more. Follow the main story where you’re part of an elite force fighting organized crime, or take on side quests as a bounty hunter, racing pilot, bodyguard, mercenary, pirate, miner, or hunter for lost artifacts.
Upgrade and customize your ship, an ultra-modern Skyblade, by equipping new engines, weapons, shields, AI-controlled drones, multi-warhead missiles or stealth devices. Create your own approach to combat, as you can fight other gliders the old-fashioned way or hack into the enemies’ control unit to hijack use of their Skyblades.
Utilizing the power of Unreal Engine 5, G-Rebels will feature changing weather conditions with volumetric clouds, dynamic sun and moon positions with realistic day-night cycles, real-time simulation of thousands of flying objects in the world, and complete world streaming - i.e. no loading screens!
Developer Reakktor Studios and publisher Senatis are prepping G-Rebels for takeoff: Early next year, the flight sim takes off in Early Access on Steam.
The new version will give players a first taste of a truly unique cockpit experience with an optional VR mode that makes speed and every maneuver feel even more immersive and thrilling.
At its Early Access launch in early 2026, G-Rebels will already include a lot of missions planned for the ongoing development throughout the Early Access phase. Players can expect noticeably improved performance, ten carefully curated missions, and plenty of new features. For the first time, they'll be able to battle for outposts, engage in high-intensity combat against cruisers, and explore new regions beyond the familiar metropolis of Daevos. The Skyblades can be controlled with mouse and keyboard, gamepad, or full flight-sim hardware, and for the first time, the game can be played in VR.
Key features in the Early Access version of G-Rebels:
- Ten hand-picked high-altitude missions
- Early VR mode with full cockpit view and first-person flight controls
- Multiple regions to explore, including the dystopian metropolis Daevos, the war-torn Venice, and two additional outposts in the Atlas Archipelago
- Dynamic mix of main missions, bounties, police chases, new contractors, and races, plus the debut of outpost battles, mining, and combat missions against cruisers
- Skyblade customization with engine, weapon, and shield upgrades
- Dynamic weather and a realistic day-night cycle
- A living world driven by real-time simulation of thousands of aircraft
- Supports mouse & keyboard and gamepads
- Experimental support for HOTAS/HOSAS flight-sim gear
“Early Access finally introduces one of the most requested features for G-Rebels: full VR support. Players will soon step right into the cockpit to experience G-Rebels up close, with true 360° visibility. Alongside that, Early Access launches with a gameplay mix of intense missions, challenges, and open world features,” says Martin Schwiezer, Founder and Creative Director at Reakktor Studios.
The early demo versions demonstrated how valuable the community’s feedback is in shaping G-Rebels. With an open world of this scale, close interaction with players creates great opportunities to refine the experience in meaningful ways. In Early Access, the developer builds on this approach, aiming to deliver intense moments and engaging content.
