Ultra-detailed environments allow for total immersion and in-depth tactics. Enjoy classic game modes like Deathmatch or Team Deathmatch, and also a brand new Body Bomb mode designed for competition. Cooperation and communication with your teammates will be essential to win!
Reissad Studio is premiering a new trailer and Steam Early Access content update for its Zombie Mode, confirming the experimental mode is now a permanent feature in the ultra-realistic tactical shooter, Bodycam.
The mode - which started as a cautious, limited-time "shadow drop" for Halloween 2024 - was an unexpected runaway success, logging approximately 600,000 players during the Asylum event. This overwhelming community response has transformed the Zombie Mode into a core "experimental lab" for new features applicable to both PVE and PVP.
Time for another patch notes, based on your feedback. Keep them going, let us know if it has helped as well, if you were encountering these issues.

Key Announcements & Future Direction
1. Ultra-Realism Pushed Further
The development team is considering doubling down on immersion by moving away from supernatural elements. For instance, zombies could have been victims of mutated virus or mysterious gas (e.g., in an abandoned mall setting) and become "The Contaminated". The goal is to make the mode so terrifyingly authentic that viewers question if the gameplay footage is real, mirroring the impact of the core Multiplayer experience.
2. New Experimental Weapons
The mode will be used to test new, destructive content that provides immediate fun while retaining realism:
- Already live - Crossbows with Explosive Bolts: High-impact, unique firepower for the Zombie Mode (with different, non-explosive mechanics planned for PVP).
- Testing ground: Moving forward, the zombie mode will be a testing ground for experimentation with new utility and performance boosters as well as introduction of new weapons and devices.
3. Commitment to the Community
The success of the Zombie Mode was ignited by player feedback. The team emphasizes that the community will continue to be a crucial partner in shaping the evolution of the mode's content and features.
Bodycam is in development for PC (Steam).
