Introducing acevo.gg – Ranked Racing Arrives in Assetto Corsa EVO
This update for Assetto Corsa EVO marks a significant milestone with the debut of acevo.gg, a new Daily Racing Portal designed to make competitive online racing more accessible than ever. This launch represents the first phase of a long-term vision, mirroring the evolving nature of Assetto Corsa EVO itself.
With acevo.gg, players can browse upcoming events and register for them without needing to launch the game or sit at their sim rig, and then join races, with the browser directly launching the game straight into the game server in one click.
A new ranked scheduling system ensures drivers are matched with competitors of similar skill, delivering close, consistent, and fair racing experiences.
Performance is tracked through results and translated into GridRating, a bespoke ranking model developed to group racers with accuracy and precision.
Existing SimGrid users will find that their highest earned GridRating automatically transfers into Assetto Corsa EVO, placing them in the correct split from day one and eliminating the need to start over.
However, this is only the beginning. The platform will expand over time with upcoming league and community tools, deeper driver statistics, and enhanced in-game integration to elevate the daily racing experience even further. For now, visit acevo.gg, jump into the action, and start building your GridRating.
Physics, Graphics, Audio & Gameplay: A Further Step Forward
The new update brings a major upgrade to Assetto Corsa EVO physics and driving model, with a full round of improvements - below listed – including:
- New tire-damping model increases compliance and grip stability across all cars.
- Updated tire inertia and slip ratio deliver more natural traction under braking and acceleration.
- Revised grip model offers higher base adhesion with smoother combined-slip limits.
