Nested Lands is a brutally challenging survival game where the only options are to survive and endure or end up in an ever-growing pile of corpses.

A devastating plague has swept through the world, transforming it beyond recognition. A once lush, peaceful kingdom is now dark and mangled, with droves of bloodthirsty bandits and unpredictable madmen twisted by the plague roaming the lands. Show any sign of weakness, and death will come swiftly and painfully. There is no place for hope here; the remnants of humans, embittered and mutilated, can only pray to live another day.

In Nested Lands, you’ll start from nothing, rising to overcome monumental challenges and make your fame echo across the kingdom. Craft all the tools and resources you need to survive a harsh, highly interactive environment, build a settlement from the ground up, battle vicious foes, and recruit allies to help you. The unpredictably harsh weather and the coming winter are also your sworn enemies, and the highly detailed world full of random events won’t grant you a single moment’s rest. Every decision you make will be carefully watched and evaluated.

Will your name be praised by all, or will its very sound instill fear into the common folk who dwell in this massive open world?

The Alpha version of the game provides about 6-8 hours of gameplay with base questlines and key mechanics.

Here is a quick look at the things you will find in the Alpha build:

• Exploration: First few days of exploration in the first biome, North Plains, where you can collect resources and start your own village along with a day and night system.

• Intro tutorial and narrative introduction: Take the first steps in Nested Lands with the help of a guide NPC, quests and tutorials to learn more about your opportunities.

• Gathering for survival: The biome contains different resources, from food to materials, to promote your survival

• Survival stats and status effect: Hunger, cold, thirst, and other stats can trigger status effects and affect your condition. Status effects are also affected by the environment — for example, fire can warm you up.

• Plague: Dead enemies and NPCs in general turn into plague focus if not burned right away. They can spread the disease to the player, which can kill them with time. The Plague is constantly spreading and increasing its level on the island – make sure to eliminate the Plague Focuses around the village to protect yourself and your settlers from mortal danger!

• Quest system: Alpha has a basic quest system, showing task in the HUD

• NPCs: NPC recruitment, every villagers has unique skills, traits and matters individually to the player

• Village building and management: Build a village center, houses and crafting buildings, recruit people to your goals and keep them safe.

• Assign villagers  

• Plague in the village: Plague level in the village will increase if the player is infected, increasing the chance of spreading it to any villager.

• Lore: While exploring the game, you'll find various immersive notes and the intro scene with a lore overview of the world

• POI: Interact with Points of Interest for loot, lore information, and combat

• Enemies: Melee and ranged combat, as well as stealth kill. After killing your foes, loot their inventories for goods

• Random events: While exploring and in the village, random events might happen to test your combat and village chief skills.

• Animals: You'll be able to hunt different animals for resources

• Crafting: Craft useful items on the player’s menu and workbenches in your village

• Inventory: Manageable inventory system and equipment system

• Load/ Save system: Up to 3 different profiles available

• Basic settings: choose preferred graphic quality, sound, and language options

• Voiced player and enemy lines

Our game is still at an early stage of development. In fact, this is the first playable version. Certain content and features are still missing. For instance:

• Multiplayer mode is not implemented yet

• Not all biomes can be explored

• More enemies to come (Rogue Soldiers not implemented yet)

• Game difficulty (easy, medium, hard and custom) is not implemented yet, so there’s only one difficulty

• Quest system is to be improved

• NPCs are to be polished (facial animations, voices, etc)

More content will be added as the development progresses. Please keep in mind that Alpha version has only the basic features and stay tuned for future news!

•  It’s Dangerous to Go Alone: Explore the Nested Lands solo, or embrace the horrors of this dystopian world with your friends in co-op mode.
