Bandai Namco Entertainment announced that Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Battle Destiny Remastered, the fan-favorite PlayStationVita action/RPG, is coming to the West for the first time.

The remaster brings enhanced visuals, a redesigned UI, a new target lock-on mode and English localization to the game’s fast-paced hack-and-slash mecha combat, immersing Mobile Suit Gundam SEED fans in a game universe featuring original and recreated battles. 

As a soldier in volatile times, players must choose from one of the three factions– Earth Alliance, Z.A.F.T or Archangel to fight alongside in various story missions based on the series’ iconic moments such as Mobile Suit Gundam SEED and Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny as well as side stories including Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Astray, Mobile Suit Gundam SEED C.E. 73: STARGAZER and more. With over 100 different mobile suits to choose from, players can tune their mechs to engage in thrilling, action-packed Gundam battles. 

Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Battle Destiny Remastered will provide enhanced visuals as well as a redesigned UI catered for modern platforms, along with English localization for the first time. The remastered version retains the original title’s gameplay while adding new game mechanics and quality-of-life features such as improved tuning, mission selection and a newly added lock-on mode for a smoother, more accessible experience.

Also, pre-orders are now open for the Nintendo Switch version.

Ready to dive back into the SEED universe? Before joining the action, players will have to choose their faction and play as either a Natural, a human born without genetic modifications, or a Coordinator, a genetically modified human. Factions determine which Mobile Suits, missions and storyline they will be able to acquire. Players will get to adapt their strategy by choosing their main and secondary weapons and upgrade them using points obtained after completing a mission, to fit their playstyle. Players can also alternate between long and close-range combat.

In the game, more than a hundred Mobile Suits can be unlocked by completing missions. In addition to the Story Missions, two other types will be available:

• Extra Missions: no faction or period restrictions and players will be able to choose to pair their favourite characters with the unit of their choice.
• VS Missions: this mode will allow players to improve themselves in different scenarios against enemies controlled by the computer.

• Tune up your suits!: Strengthen your suits and weaponry in the redesigned UI menu. Tune your suits to match your playstyle as you embark on missions and take on stronger opponents!
• System Enhancements: New lock-on modes and controller settings have been added for smoother gameplay.

Pre-orders for the Steam version are available now, while pre-orders for the Nintendo Switch version will open at a later date.

Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Battle Destiny Remastered will be available on Nintendo Switch and PC (Steam) on May 22, 2025.
