In Metal Eden, players take on the role of ASKA, an advanced Hyper Unit android built around a digitized human psyche. Explore the neon-soaked architecture of the techno planet Moebius and the mysterious world below and engage in an ongoing conflict over the souls of a lost human colony stored in cybernetic COREs. 

MOEBIUS – a vast monolithic city high above the planet’s surface protecting the mysterious HIVE TOWER. Run by mysterious ENGINEERS, once a hopeful new home for humanity has turned into a deadly trap. Explore the brutalist and monolithic environments of the derelict orbital city and the mysterious world below, VULCAN. As HYPER UNIT ASKA, engage in the ongoing conflict over the consciousness of a lost human colony stored within reinforced storage units.

Developer Reikon Games announced that players can now jump into a free Metal Eden demo.

Metal Eden´s Mission 0 and 1 will be available for free and for an unlimited period starting April 8 on Steam, PlayStation Store, and Xbox.

• Mission 0 introduces players to the core mechanics while teasing the larger mystery behind ASKA’s mission and her unique ability as an android that can be reprinted. 
• Mission 1, Paradise Lost, builds upon everything players experienced in Mission 0. The mission’s arena encounters start off simple but steadily increase in complexity, challenging players to adapt their strategies. This section also introduces the player upgrade system in two key ways: Body Modules and Weapon Upgrades.

Demo Speedrun Challenge

In partnership with Speedrun.com, the Metal Eden Demo Speedrun Challenge is dropping today right alongside the demo’s release.

The fastest demo completion times will take home a cut of a $1,000 prize pool.

Accompanied by your sentient spaceship, Nexus, you’ll expand your arsenal and upgrade your undying body while fighting for what’s real behind this hauntingly beautiful machine world. Players will fight a diverse roster of enemies and extract energy cores to gain a battle zone advantage, while developing their arsenal and combat abilities to become an unstoppable Hyper Unit.
