'The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt' Reaches 60 Million Copies Sold, Reveals US Dates For Live Orchestra Concert

by Rainier on May 28, 2025 @ 5:35 p.m. PDT

Marking the final installment in the action RPG trilogy, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt combines decision-based storytelling flair with a living open world larger than any other in modern RPG history.

Open-world, free-roaming exploration is an adventure in itself as the player will gallop through war-ravaged lands, sail misty waters and track down dangerous beasts for money.

An improved combat system will allow players to feel like a real monster-hunter, a witcher who uses his superior senses and fighting skills to survive in a dark fantasy world--while he embarks on a quest to save his loved ones.

The new core mechanics of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt immerse the player in the experience completely, with no Quick Time Events, only intuitive RPG gameplay.

After reaching 50 million copies sold in 2023, CD Projekt Red revealed that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has now reached 60 million copies.

Following the official kickoff at gamescom in Cologne, Germany on August 20, The Witcher in Concert, which celebrates ten years of killing monsters in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, will bring to life the open-world role-playing game’s timeless score with cutting-edge visuals and a performance from an ensemble orchestra. Handpicked by The Witcher 3 co-composer Marcin Przybyłowicz, the 14-member ensemble also includes select members of Percival Schuttenbach, co-composers and contributors to several iconic songs.

The United States leg of the tour will begin shortly after The Witcher in Concert’s kickoff at this year’s gamescom in Cologne, Germany on August 20. The full list of dates is available to view on the Witcher in Concert website, with an exclusive pre-sale for newsletter subscribers starting on May 28 at 10 AM EDT / 4 PM CEST and lasting until May 30 at 9:59 AM EDT / 3:59 PM CEST.

Tickets will be available to the public beginning on May 30 at 10 AM EDT / 4 PM CEST.

The live celebration is further bolstered by Polish folk metal band Percival, co-composers of the game’s soundtrack, known for their iconic contributions to the game’s sound. Alongside a skilled orchestra, they will bring to life beloved tracks from Geralt’s journey through the continent.

“The response to the concert announcements has been nothing short of extraordinary. We’re grateful to see that even 10 years after the game’s original release, our community embraces its music and is ready to join Geralt on one more journey through the Continent,” says The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt co-composer Marcin Przybyłowicz.

The Witcher in Concert is created in collaboration with GEA Live and RoadCo Entertainment, the producers of live entertainment events in over 40 countries worldwide. Those interested can learn more — and gain access to an exclusive ticket pre-sale via the newsletter — at The Witcher in Concert official website.
