Open-world, free-roaming exploration is an adventure in itself as the player will gallop through war-ravaged lands, sail misty waters and track down dangerous beasts for money.

An improved combat system will allow players to feel like a real monster-hunter, a witcher who uses his superior senses and fighting skills to survive in a dark fantasy world--while he embarks on a quest to save his loved ones.

The new core mechanics of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt immerse the player in the experience completely, with no Quick Time Events, only intuitive RPG gameplay.

Later this year, CD Projekt Red will release one more patch for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. This update will introduce cross-platform mod support across PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S via mod.io. 

For the first time, creating, sharing, and enjoying mods for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will be easier and more accessible than ever.

Modding details:

• Uploading, sharing, and downloading mods via Cross-Platform Mod Support is available at no extra cost to those who own The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
• Mods will be available on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5.
• Mod.io is a tool that brings Cross-Platform Mod Support to PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5, mod.io provides an easy to use platform for downloading and uploading mods.
• You need to have a mod.io account and connect it to your CD PROJEKT RED account in order to access Cross-Platform Mod Support. A mod.io account can be created when you access the new in-game mod menu for the first time or visit the mod.io website. Mod creators can upload and manage their mods on the mod.io website.
• Existing modding services like Nexus and Steam Workshop can still be used, meaning players do not need to use mod.io to upload and download mods for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. However, to access mods on consoles, mod.io is required.
• Many mods will be available across PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5. However, due to specific content guidelines and selection criteria for each platform, it may not be possible to bring every mod uploaded on PC to console. Mods available on mod.io must also adhere to our Fan Content Guidelines and CD PROJEKT RED User Agreement.
• REDkit gives mod creators access to the powerful tools used by CD PROJEKT RED when creating The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, and we therefore recommend it when creating mods. However, Cross-Platform Mod Support will support mods created in other ways too. That being said, any mods for consoles that use scripts must be created with REDkit. Other mods, for textures, bundles, and so on, do not need to be created with REDkit.
• PC users can download The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt REDkit to create mods, with detailed information available on the official website.
• While Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 players can enjoy playing the myriad mods available through Cross-Platform Mod Support, mods must be created with a mod creator like The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt REDkit on PC.
• Mods can be shared by uploading them to The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Hub on the mod.io website.
• Mods created via REDkit have the best chance at being approved for Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5.
