'Please, Watch The Artwork' Is A Cozy Puzzle Game Where Paintings Are Alive, Coming to Nintendo Switch, Mobile And PC - Screens & Trailer

by Rainier on June 10, 2025 @ 12:05 p.m. PDT

Please, Watch The Artwork is a casual yet suspenseful experience where you spot changes in living paintings during your night shift at the MaMA - the Museum of Animated Modern Art.

Please, Watch The Artwork continues the tradition of immersing players in the captivating realm of a renowned modern artist. This time, become absorbed in the iconic paintings of Edward Hopper, known for his themes of loneliness and urban solitude.

Your job is simple: watch the paintings and report any changes. However, these aren’t your ordinary artworks. They depict animated slices of everyday life. Moments that loop endlessly inside the frame. A diner at midnight. A woman lost in thought.

But details shift when you're not watching…

On top of that, a mysterious sad clown is moving from canvas to canvas, and his sadness is starting to infect the other paintings. To prevent this all from happening, you’ll need sharp eyes, a strong memory and lots of coffee.

In Please, Watch The Artwork, there are no jump scares, and no monsters chasing you. There is no music, only the ambient sounds of the scenes depicted in the artworks. However, the game can make you feel gaslit, paranoid, melancholic and isolated.

It's just you, the night… and the paintings.

Please, Watch The Artwork has 6 unique galleries (levels), showcasing more than 40 paintings from American realism painter Edward Hopper, bundled by theme and subject.

The game can get quite difficult at times because changes can be very subtle. But no worries, there are 3 difficulty modes for each kind of player. There is even a cozy mode without time pressure and no game over. Just report changes at your own pace.
