The series is currently in development at Passion’s Paris studio, in close collaboration with Amplitude’s creative team.
The project taps into Passion’s expertise in the gaming space and joins its growing slate of animated series, spanning genres and audiences. Recent work includes 400 Boys, directed by Robert Valley for Netflix’s Love, Death + Robots and Not a Box, a playful and imaginative preschool series launching Friday 13 June on Apple TV+ and being previewed today at Annecy International Animation Film Festival. These projects demonstrate Passion’s intention not to work to a single house style, rather embodying its house values: every project is cast from the ground up, with the right artists, directors, and visual language to support the story.
The announcement follows Amplitude’s reveal last Sunday of the early access release date for Endless Legend 2, marking an important milestone in the ongoing evolution of the Endless universe. With this new animated series, Amplitude and Passion will deepen that world and bring it to life in a new format, connecting the games and episodic storytelling in a cohesive, long-term vision.
“We’re so excited to be stepping into the Endless universe,” said Caroline Audebert, MD/Executive Producer at Passion Paris. “Amplitude has built a world that’s rich with lore, characters and atmosphere and we’re working closely with their team to develop a visual style and storytelling approach that captures what players already love about the series, while opening the door to new stories and audiences.”
Romain de Waubert de Genlis, CEO and co-founder at Amplitude Studios says “Endless is a universe we’ve been shaping with passion for years, hand in hand with our community. Seeing it take a new leap forward through this partnership with Passion Pictures is truly a dream come true. We’re proud of this collaboration and can’t wait to see the adventure come to life in a whole new format."
