Developer and publisher Funcom is proud to announce that Dune: Awakening has launched to rave reviews, and is currently sitting at an 85% Very Positive Steam rating with over 28,700 reviews. It currently has an 80 rating on Metacritic and 81 on OpenCritic.

In the first weekend following launch, Dune: Awakening beat its peak concurrent players record three times, reaching over 189,000, and massively beating the 53,400 record of their previous title, Conan Exiles. It is now also Funcom’s fastest-selling game of all time.

This is only the beginning. Dune: Awakening’s Season Pass includes the first four DLC, and the team is already hard at work on future improvements and major free content updates to expand the game’s story and features.

The remaining three DLCs included in the Season Pass are scheduled for release in Q4 2025, Q1 2026, and Q2 2026. In addition, Funcom will provide free updates that bring new content, features, and enhancements to the game.
