At the 2025 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards, as the kick-off to a larger campaign with the brand, SEGA announced an in-game collaboration with Nickelodeon for Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds. 

During a moment in the show, SEGA debuted an exclusive new trailer showcasing characters from the SpongeBob SquarePants universe racing alongside Sonic and friends.

Fans also got a glimpse of the new SpongeBob SquarePants themed vehicle and track, as well as a tease of future Nickelodeon themed content from theAvatar universe and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

By purchasing the Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds Digital Deluxe Edition, fans can experience the Season Pass, which includes the Nickelodeon content as well as the recently announced Minecraft characters, vehicles, and tracks, characters from the hit Netflix series, Sonic Prime, and two more yet-to-be-announced collaborations.
