'Instruments Of Destruction' Publishing Rights Picked Up By Secret Mode, Comes To PS5 And Xbox SerieS X|S Later This Year - Trailer

by Rainier on June 24, 2025 @ 9:53 a.m. PDT

Instruments Of Destruction is a vehicle-building sandbox featuring advanced physics-based destruction.

Create crazy construction vehicles and use them to demolish buildings and complete various objectives.

You can demolish every structure in the game piece by piece. In addition, every object you see in the game world--save for small decorative plants and rocks--is part of the physics system. Each element of the world interacts with each other and together they create a physical, visceral world to play with.

Build a vehicle your way, with an ever-expanding array of parts and pieces. Using an intuitive vehicle construction system that also lets you customize your vehicles' appearance and controls, you'll always have fun creating your next awesome invention.

From simple splitters to advanced joints, a variety of parts slowly unlock as you play through the game, and each unlocks countless new possibilities.

While some vehicles will perform better than others in accomplishing your objectives, it's always a bit more fun to get creative and go a little off script. Optional bonus challenges and objectives will reward more creative builders and add more replayability.

This one’s coming in like a wrecking ball!

Instruments of Destruction is smashing everything in its path to become a part of Secret Mode’s growing catalogue of independently published games.

Originally released on PC in May 2024, Instruments of Destruction is coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S later this year.

Expect all the same content as the PC version – including full vehicle customisation – with optimisations for the target platforms.

Key Features:

  • ADVANCED PHYSICS-BASED DESTRUCTION - You can demolish every structure in the game piece by piece. In addition, every object you see in the game world--save for small decorative plants and rocks--is part of the physics system. Each element of the world interacts with each other and together they create a physical, visceral world to play with.
  • BUILD UNIQUE VEHICLES - Build a vehicle your way, with an ever-expanding array of parts and pieces. Using an intuitive vehicle construction system that also lets you customize your vehicles' appearance and controls, you'll always have fun creating your next awesome invention.
  • SINGLEPLAYER CAMPAIGN + PROGRESSION - The first time you unlock a level, you will be provided with everything you need to complete simple objectives, and will be required to use certain parts and adhere to certain limits.
  • HARDCORE MODE - Complete a level in the campaign, and you'll unlock the same level in sandbox mode, and later it will become available in hardcore mode. Hardcore is similar to the main campaign, but will use more timers, add more difficult objectives, and limit the parts in different ways.
  • SANDBOX MODE - Finally, sandbox mode lets you use any unlocked part, and as many parts as you want (up to your current max based on progression), to complete more relaxed challenges on any completed level, or to just build and destroy stuff for fun.
  • FUTURE PLANS - Those 3 modes will be present at EA launch, but additional features and content will be added during Early Access. Additional details will be coming as new features are nearing completion.
  • Original Soundtrack: Radiangames is also thrilled to once again be featuring an original soundtrack composed by Auvic. The brilliant musician was also responsible for the retro-modern soundtrack for the developer's previous Apple Arcade title, Speed Demons.

The game plays well with either a keyboard or gamepad, though a gamepad is recommended due to force feedback providing a more immersive experience.  A select number of flying/hovering vehicles include optional mouse controls for aiming (those still work with keyboard-only controls).

Currently available for PC (Steam), Instruments Of Destruction is coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S in 2025.
