Gloomy Eyes is not a VR game. Adapted from the eponymous awarded VR experience, Gloomy Eyes is a game set in a dark world shaken by the conflict between the living and the dead, telling a peculiar story about love and difference.

Gloomy Eyes is a single-player “self-coop” cozy horror adventure. Players will alternate between controlling Gloomy and Nene, two unique characters as they embark on a journey to bring sunlight back to a world plunged into nasty, bitter darkness.

Within a world where the sun has stopped rising, the darkness awoke the dead from their graves, and an oppressive leader has cast them out. Play Gloomy and Nena, a zombie and a human , on a quest to find the sun in this dark but poetic narrative puzzle game.

You play alternately Gloomy, a mysterious zombie child and Nena, a human girl. They quickly fall for each other, despite Nena’s uncle being the leader of the zombie hunters, and depart on a quest to bring warmth back in these forsaken lands. Using Gloomy and Nena’s unique abilities, solve smart puzzles and help them on their quest to find the sun and make it rise again.

Gloomy Eyes tells a poignant tale of tenderness and keeps the player close to these atypical lovers trying to bring brightness back to the world, despite fear, conflict and hostility.

Untold Tales has teamed up with Atlas V, Fishing Cactus, 3DAR and ARTE France to bring the wonderfully grim story of Gloomy Eyes to life.

Gloomy Eyes is coming to Nintendo Switch, PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC (Steam) in 2025.
