by Rainier on June 26, 2025 @ 10:06 a.m. PDT

Building upon the creative management simulation, Planet Coaster 2 is the ultimate coaster park experience is set to reach the next level with all-new water park gameplay.

With incredible attractions, stunning scenery, and authentic management, players must provide their guests with an unforgettable day out as they put their creativity and business acumen to the test across three engaging game modes.

Planet Coaster 2 provides players with an array of vibrant water attractions to create their very own coaster and water park paradise. Make a splash with guests as they float along lazy rivers, speed down flumes, plunge into wave pools, and ride exhilarating water coasters. Create an authentic water park experience by providing changing rooms, sunbeds, lifeguards, and more.

Building upon its highly successful predecessor, Planet Coaster 2 gives players the ability to push the boundaries of creativity like never before. Be inspired by spectacular real-world parks and create vibrant guest plazas with enhanced building and pathing tools. Intuitive piece-by-piece building tools and mesmerising new themes make it simple for players to elevate their park building to the next level. Choose from a stellar selection of authentic rides, from returning fan favourites to sensational new water coasters, and for the first time customise them to design a truly unique ride experience. Players can further unleash their imagination and create unforgettable memories for their guests by using the enhanced event sequencer tool, combining animatronics, smoke, water jets, sound, and more in dazzling displays throughout individual rides and across their parks.

Frontier Developments announces a 6th update is heading to Planet Coaster 2 for all players on 30th June!

Planet Coaster 2 will be bringing players modular Souvenir Shops, so their guests will never forget their incredible day out. Budding builders will be able to create their very own, while a ready-to-place blueprint is also available. These shops can sell merchandise including plushies, mugs, and more.

Photo Kiosks can also be placed in Souvenir Shops (and other locations) to allow guests to purchase all-new on-ride photos! Players will also need to choose where to place down a camera based on which moment of the ride will get the best reactions from the guests, and therefore the best pictures. The better the photo, the more guests will want to buy it.

Beware of dragons, shiver your timbers, and prepare to get creative – the Fairytale and Pirate themes from the original Planet Coaster are making their way to the game.

De-themed versions of two coasters are bringing players additional opportunities for customisation:

  • Big M’s Rides – Water Coaster
  • Movement Construction – Mine Train

The dizzying Coriolis flat ride will be making its comeback from the original Planet Coaster, rebuilt from the ground up ready for Planet Coaster 2 guests to enjoy.
