'Delta Force' Season Break Update Will Add New Maps, Operator, Vehicles, Weapons And More In July, PS5 And Xbox Series X|S Launch Set For August

by Rainier on June 27, 2025 @ 8:50 a.m. PDT

With a campaign based on Black Hawk Down, Delta Force is a cross-platform tactical shooter where you'll play the role of an Operator tasked with accomplishing extreme missions through precise tactical planning and application.

Delta Force will feature a storyline with realistic themes, employed real-life actors for character building, utilized photogrammetry for 3D world creation, captured tactical movements from military professionals, and sought guidance from former Special Forces personnel to ensure an authentic tone of resolute realism and professionalism within the military theme.

Gameplay will feature a strong dose of tactical combat in each mode, as players will select from four Operator classes at launch. Choose from the dominant firepower of the Assault class, showcase your superior tactics with the Engineer class, heal teammates and keep your team fighting on as a Support class or create havoc through the element of surprise as Recon class.

The game's campaign mode is based on Ridley Scott's Black Hawk Down movie, where players will be able to experience authentic and thrilling battles from the celebrated movie.

Team Jade announced that Delta Force is gearing up to launch Season Break, the title’s largest update yet, allowing players to dive into loads of new content starting July 9, including new maps for Operations and Warfare, a new Operator, swimming and diving, Victory Unite improvements and more.

In addition, Delta Force also confirmed its console release date on August 19th with the Black Hawk Down single-player campaign available as free DLC with wishlisting beginning on June 28 for console.

Notable New Season Break features include:

  • New Operations Map: Tide Prison
    • A secret high-tech island prison run by the Haavk, players must infiltrate disguised as prisoners and collect their gear during the mission, solving puzzles solo or with their squad. Swimming and diving have also been introduced, together with underwater exploration.
  • New Warfare Map: Cyclone
    • A tropical island with a hidden ICBM missile site, the Cyclone is a grand map offering satisfying infantry and vehicle combat, and introduces a dynamic weather system which affects gameplay immersion and strategy.
  • New Operator: Tempest
    • Free with Battle Pass, Tempest comes with enhanced mobility via an exoskeletal device, emergency evasion devices, and a charged drill that disarms enemies, making her an ideal choice for close range combat and deadlocks.
  • New weapons and vehicles, including an assault rifle, a compound bow, jet skis and more.
  • Victory Unite improvements, including a real-time command hub and a new call-in support to reduce respawn time.

A brand new crossover with Arknights will also enter the realm of Delta Force, with Arknights-inspired Operator Appearances available for players, coming later this summer. Team Jade revealed Stinger’s Executor-themed Appearance, inspired by the Titleless Code outfit, and Luna’s Schwarz-inspired Appearance, based on the Skyline design. Toxik and Hackclaw will also join the lineup, with full reveals coming soon.

Delta Force: Hawk Ops launches with three exciting, distinct game modes:

  • Large-Scale PvP Mode - Havoc Warfare: Compete as part of a large team and take the fight to the enemy as you battle across massive maps featuring authentic terrain and including a range of military vehicles, tanks and aircraft.
  • Extraction Mode - Hazard Operations: Squad up and take on rival teams and marauding AI-controlled mercenaries and Royal Guards in Hazard Operations, the most tactical take on the popular extraction genre to date. Random events across huge maps will keep players on their toes, while challenging PvE-focused missions can be completed for valuable loot.
  • Campaign Mode - Black Hawk Down: An exciting recreation of the classic Delta Force campaign mode sees a return to Mogadishu to participate in the events of the 2001 Black Hawk Down movie. Featuring both characters and likenesses from the film, while also serving as an officially licensed remaster of the original Delta Force: Black Hawk Down video game.

Currently available for PC (Steam / Epic Games Store), Delta Force will also be coming as free-to-play with cross-play support to PlayStation, Xbox on August 19, 2025.
