'Lost Ark' Reveals Summer/Fall 2025 Roadmap With New Progression System, Hell Dungeon, Female Paladin Advanced Class, Raids, Events And More

by Rainier on July 1, 2025 @ 1:29 p.m. PDT

In Lost Ark players explore the vast and diverse world of Arkesia on their quest to find the fabled Lost Ark and save the realm from a demonic threat.

Lost Ark is a AAA free-to-play, massively multiplayer online action role-playing game that is only currently available in Korea, Japan, and Russia, where it boasts millions of active players.

The game features 15 distinct hero classes that offer deep combat with unique combinations of adaptable skill sets utilizing the Tripod Skill system. Players forge their own legend, whether alone or with allies, as they battle through dangerous dungeons, sail by ship and even create their own island home.

Amazon Games collaborated with Smilegate RPG to provide players in North America and Europe with the best experience possible by localizing and translating the colossal world of Lost Ark into written and spoken dialogue in English, French, German, and Spanish.

Amazon Games revealed the third part of its 2025 roadmap for Lost Ark. This all-new roadmap offers a look into the major content updates arriving in Arkesia from now until the fall. The second half of 2025 will feature tons of new content for Lost Ark, including the new progression system Paradise, Hell dungeon, new female Paladin Advanced Class, new raids, events and much more!

Highlights of the roadmap include:

  • New Progression System: Paradise - Launching in July, Paradise is a new seasonal solo progression system designed specifically for the global version of Lost Ark. Paradise helps players earn valuable rewards through three interconnected activities including Elysian, Crucible (aka God’s Testimony), and Hell. These activities allow players to collect Legacy of Paradise gear, defeat powerful bosses with their new power, and descend a 100-floor dungeon.
  • New Valkyrie Advanced Class - The long-awaited female Paladin, named Valkyrie, will arrive in August. Players will choose between Support Build and DPS Build to protect allies or smite enemies. The new class will be released alongside progression events and a legendary class gift.
  • Limited-Time Raid Event: Assault – Rimeria - The frozen continent of Rimeria faces the new threat of Abyssal Beasts, and it’s up to players to stop them. This limited time event includes a 1–4 player event dungeon against Narhash, the 8-player raid, Flame of Darkness Tarkal and various coveted rewards.
  • Late 2025 - The latter part of 2025 will see various updates including the merging of NA East + NA West servers, an empowered rematch of a past fan-favorite fight Extreme Thaemine with new rewards, and an epic endgame Kazeros raid.

Heroes of Arkesia,

Lost Ark team members Roxx, Matt, and Henry are back with the next installment of the Lost Ark roadmap, covering what’s in store for July, August, and September, along with a sneak peek at some of the major updates arriving before the end of 2025. As always, since Lost Ark is a live-service game, plans may shift, but we’re excited to reveal what’s ahead—let’s dive into the upcoming content and systems arriving in the second half of the year. Watch the Roadmap video update for the full discussion and deep dive, or find an express summary below the video.

July

New Progression System: Paradise

Launching late July, Paradise is a new seasonal system designed specifically for the global version of Lost Ark to help speed up progression and give players new experimental, solo content. Paradise helps players earn valuable rewards through three interconnected activities:

Elysian

Fight waves of monsters to collect Legacy of Paradise gear—a new set of upgradeable equipment (e.g. belt, cloak) that only applies within Paradise. Gear is tiered and can be upgraded through:

  • Restoration – which boosts base stats
  • Resonance – adds bonus effects once restoration thresholds are met

Higher Paradise levels will unlock throughout the season, and all gear resets between seasons.

Crucible

Take on bosses in a 1v1 battle with nearly all power coming from your Legacy of Paradise gear—making this content accessible for all classes, including supports. Since the recording of the roadmap video, we made the decision to simplify the name from “God’s Testimony” to Crucible, better matching the other one word activity names.

  • Includes valuable first-time clear rewards, along with weekly class-based leaderboards reward players with Hell Keys. Every player who participates will receive some keys, with players who place higher receiving higher grade and more keys.
  • Earn and equip the Orb, a special gear piece that carries power outside of Paradise and scales based on your peak seasonal progression.

Hell

Use your Hell Keys to descend through a 100-floor dungeon, earning better rewards the deeper you go.

  • Clearing floors will be easy, like a chaos dungeon. It’s more about trying to hit some lucky effects and descend as far as possible.
  • Loot includes gold, upgrade materials, Paradise gear, and the rewards are selectable at the end to give players a choice of what they need most between the available options.

Solo Mode & Mokoko Bootcamp

  • Solo Aegir joins the roster with an updated Tier 4 reward shop
  • Solo Raid difficulty adjusted to be easier for new players
  • Mokoko Bootcamp returns with:
    • Aegir (Act 1) Hard Mode
    • Brelshaza (Act 2) Normal Mode
    • Item level cap set at 1689 to ensure players can naturally progress without losing their status
Quality of Life & System Updates
  • Skin Book System: Manage, preview, and craft all skins in a new streamlined interface.
  • Una’s Task Overhaul: Dailies transition to weekly rewards after reputation completion, reducing daily grind
  • Balance Patch: Korean May & June class updates included
  • Tripod & Epic Engraving Removal to simplify character systems
  • Bound Gem Improvements: Swap damage/CD types more freely
  • UI Updates:
    • Improved character profile
    • Accessory highlighting by refinement level
    • New Party Finder Lounge

August

New Advanced Class: Valkyrie

  • The long-awaited female Paladin, named Valkyrie, arrives in August!
  • Choose between:
    • Support Build: Protect allies with divine shields
    • DPS Build: Summon holy swords to smite enemies
  • Released alongside several progression events and a legendary class gift

Prestige Shop Launch

  • Earn Prestige Points equal to 10% of Royal Crystals spent in the in-game shop
  • Redeem for cosmetics like exclusive skins, MVP backgrounds, and more
  • Retroactive tracking included—no lost points!

September

Limited-Time Raid Event: Assault – Rimeria

The frozen continent of Rimeria faces a new threat: Abyssal Beasts have emerged, and it’s up to you to stop them. This limited-time event includes two types of content:

1–4 Player Event Dungeon - Abyssal Wrath, Narhash
  • Difficulty scales with party size
  • Weekly clear per character
  • Rewards: Event Medals (spend in a special shop)
  • Item Level: Normal (1660+), Hard (1700+)

  • Rewards:
    • Ancient-grade accessories
    • Honing materials, Destiny Stones
    • Dawn Defender’s Chest - Gold reward chest (up to 500K in Hard Mode)
