World Of Warcraft: The War Within is the first installment of the new Worldsoul Saga, an ambitious creative endeavor for the Warcraft universe.

In World Of Warcraft: The War Within, players will travel to the new continent of Khaz Algar as an ancient civilization rises to power deep beneath the surface of the planet.

Deep beneath the surface, an ancient nerubian civilization is rising to power, aided by Xal'atath, the Harbinger of the Void first introduced in the Legion expansion. Players will need to enlist the aid of the Earthen, a new allied race available to both Horde and Alliance players, as they make their way deeper and discover an entirely new world that has existed for centuries and whose denizens are preparing for conflicts that loom on the horizon.

World Of Warcraft's The Worldsoul Saga includes two expansions following The War Within—World Of Warcraft: Midnight and World Of Warcraft: The Last Titan.

Blizzard is thrilled to invite you to the World of Warcraft booth in Hall 8 at gamescom 2025, in Cologne, Germany. For the first time ever, players will be able to get their hands on the all-new Housing system at gamescom 2025!

One of the most anticipated features ever to come to World of Warcraft, Housing will allow players to build, decorate and customise their own homes in Azeroth. 

Housing is not all that is debuting at gamescom 2025. The entirety of our celebration for all things Midnight kicks off with a World Premiere of the expansion’s opening cinematic during Opening Night Live on August 19th. The show starts at 11:00 a.m. PDT (7:00 p.m. BST/8:00 p.m. CEST) on the official gamescom and The Game Awards social channels.

Stop by the World of Warcraft booth in Hall 8 to build, decorate, customize, and get an early look at one of the most anticipated features to come to World of Warcraft.

Go Live with the Creator Clash at gamescom

While attendees will get hands on at the event, we’ll also be streaming the Creator Clash live. Viewers can watch their favorite streamers engaging in a range of activities live from gamescom on the Warcraft YouTube and Twitch channels taking place August 20-22.
