Psychonauts thrusts players into a third-person psychic odyssey across 13 incredibly unique levels: three set in the real world and 10 set inside the mental worlds of misfits, monsters and madmen. Once inside a mind, players rise in rank by collecting figments of imagination; sorting through emotional baggage; clearing out mental cobwebs and cracking open memory vaults. Players also earn psychic powers like telekinesis, invisibility, pyrokinesis and clairvoyance as they progress through the game.

A loving reissue of the game’s soundtrack on vinyl is on the way with an anniversary worthy new addition. This time around, iam8bit has prepared a special 2xLP that, alongside the original soundtrack, features the Psychonauts cinematic score pressed on vinyl for the first time.

Double Fine’s psychedelic platformer collect-a-thon, Psychonauts, graced gamers’ minds 20 years ago with a whirlwind of trippy visuals, razor-sharp writing, and playful, energetic music. Way back in 2016, fans of iam8bit’s premium vinyl releases might remember the company’s first product collaboration with Double Fine on the single LP release of the Psychonauts soundtrack. Now, for the first time, a second disc featuring music from the game’s cutscenes and a medley of themes will be included in this release, making for the definitive way to hear Peter McConnell’s delightful soundtrack. 

The Psychonauts 2xLP (20th Anniversary Edition) includes special album art from Lunar Saloon and a brand new celebratory obi strip with artwork from Ollie Hoff.
