Farlight 84 is a PVP first-person shooter that takes place in a vibrant world where a deadly zombie cyber-infection has turned everyone into “Zomborgs”. Now, the last survivors must battle it out across different playgrounds of destruction to scavenge what they need to survive.

Players duke it out against other Zomborg survivors in Farlight’s post-apocalyptic world by controlling powerful heroes in frantic 40-player battle royale matches.

Farlight 84 also offers players incredible new ways to establish their individuality. As well as being able to personalize and upgrade their weapons and equipment, victorious players will be able to earn post-match building materials. These resources can be used by players to construct ‘refuges’ to hang out with friends between matches.

Farlight 84 players are able to choose from a diverse roster of characters, each with their unique skills, abilities and play styles.  Players will also be able to wield some funky weapons from the game’s “Big Four” weapon manufacturers, with each one packing a special surprise punch.

What started as a routine feature addition update to Farlight 84 evolved into a full-on rebrand, effectively transforming it into a brand-new game. Now, publisher Farlight Games is thrilled to reveal more details about the upcoming relaunch, paired with an all-new trailer.

With the update hitting Farlight 84 on August 7th for all platforms, players new and returning will step into a fully transformed world with a rebuilt and freshly introduced first-person mode, updated and polished graphics, redesigned gameplay systems, and fresh mechanics.

One of the most important additions is the newly implemented first-person mode, a game-changing perspective shift and immersive new view that cranks up the intensity and brings players even closer to the chaos. Combined with revamped visual fidelity and smoother controls, first-person mode offers a fresh way to experience the high-octane, hero-driven mayhem Farlight 84 is known for.

The 60-player battle royale hero shooter updates and overhauls the Buddy System — the creature-collecting ability that enables players to capture and collect adorable companions to join them in battle, giving high-intensity interactions even more edge. The new Farlight 84 adds several new Buddies and “Super Buddies” with unique abilities and perks, fully rounding out this cute-yet-effective genre-bending mechanic.

The all-new Farlight 84 sees several other additions and improvements, including a new map (Nextara), upgraded and newly introduced weapons, and a new hero (Kui Dou), and upgraded weapon loadouts enable the creation of hundreds of tactical combinations to outgun opponents.

The content update sees Farlight 84’s many existing features polished and upgraded, including:

• Buddy System 2.0 – Summon powerful pet allies mid-match. From shifting terrain to stealing items while invisible, Buddies bring unpredictable strategy and game-changing support when you need it most.
