Tekken 8 pushes the envelope for fighting games and takes full advantage of the power of the latest generation of consoles

"Fist Meets Fate” in the dramatic new storyline in Tekken 8.

The Tekken series holds the Guinness World Record for being the longest-running video game storyline, with Tekken 8 continuing the tragic saga of the Mishima and Kazama bloodlines and their world-shaking father-and-son grudge matches. This latest saga begins where the previous title left off, with a world mired deep in the devastating war between Kazuya Mishima and Jin Kazama. After suffering what seems to be a defeat from Kazuya, Jin faces his own fate. His mother, Jun Kazama, appears after her absence from the Tekken franchise to try and turn the tide in this blood feud.

Tekken 8 will feature exciting new gameplay focused on “Aggressive” tactics. Retaining Tekken’s unique fighting game identity, the game will provide both players and spectators with the series’ most thrilling experience yet with visceral screen-jarring attacks and environments that are both dynamic and destructible.

Tekken 8 is heating up the summer with the latest DLC update featuring the return of Fahkumram. The fearsome Muay Thai champion who made his debut in Tekken 7, is available today with 72-hour early access for players who are Season 2 Character Pass holders and players who purchase Season 2 Character & Stage Pass.

The Tekken 8 Summer DLC is “Thunderstruck” with the return of Fahkumram, a fearsome Muay Thai champion from Thailand who was once a national hero before becoming a victim of government corruption. After being arrested under false charges, he was forced to fight in underground matches to protect his family while enduring constant surveillance and manipulation. In Tekken 8, Fahkumram becomes the ultimate weapon on a path of no return to take revenge against the Mishima Zaibatsu.

Fahkumram expands the game's roster to 38 fighters.

Fahkumram and the Summer DLC update will be available to all players on July 11, 2025.

Additional Summer updates were revealed during the latest TEKKEN SUMMER UPDATES live discussion. Tekken 8 will feature an exciting cross-collaboration with Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & The Envisioned Land, bringing free items to the game beginning today. The collaboration introduces a set of stylish cosmetic items inspired by the world of Atelier Yumia, including a Hair Accessory, a Puni Customize Item, Avatar T-shirt, Profile Background, and Title Plate Set. 

Celebrating PAC-MAN’s 45th anniversary, Tekken 8 is launching a special PAC-MAN “PAC-PIXELS” collaborative stage with the summer update. The PAC-PIXELS special stage is a new battleground inspired by the classic PAC-MAN maze layout and brings retro 8-bit visuals, signature PAC-MAN flair, and nostalgia to Tekken 8.

In Tekken 8, all characters’ models have been completely remade from the ground up, making the most of the latest generation of hardware and providing a better experience for players.
