Whether you choose to play it cool or go completely POSTAL is entirely up to you.

Running With Scissors, Team Beef, and Impact Inked officially confirmed what long-time degenerates have been suspecting since the internet started acting weird: POSTAL 2 Redux wasn’t just some fever dream. It’s getting funded. The Kickstarter campaign is now live, and while Redux isn’t technically a VR game, it sure as hell wouldn’t exist without one.

Plucked from the womb of POSTAL 2 VR and sired by the same sick crew, Postal 2 Redux and Postal VR are being developed in lockstep. Every stretch goal hit will power up both. And for those watching the showcase, a special bonus was revealed: a limited-edition Kickstarter tier offering POSTAL 2 VR at a reduced price, available only to the first 200 to claim it.

The Redux journey began in a piss-stained alley of modding forums and fan requests. After years of “when is it coming to VR?” and “bring it to PlayStation” and “make it for mobile while you're at it,” the developers gave up on trying to say no. So now, the answer is now an unapologetic “fine, dammit.” 

“This all started because of POSTAL 2 VR,” said Grant Bagwell, Co-Founder of Team Beef. “We had no idea how many people would rally behind it. Eventually we thought: screw it, let’s remake the whole damn game.”

This isn't a remaster. It’s not a port. It’s a full remake; new engine, new assets, today’s systems, and all the glorious, deeply unhinged mechanics that made POSTAL 2 an enduring cult classic. The Redux version expands on the original with physics-driven mayhem, new movement and traversal mechanics, smarter AI, updated visuals, and fully reworked combat and weapon systems. The devs are even giving the Dude a real inventory this time.

But don’t worry, the original charm isn’t going anywhere.

“We're building the Redux version to retain all the glorious, broken, chaotic soul of the original,” said Eric Masher, COO at Flat2VR Studios. “Nothing is getting cleaned up. It's just getting louder, grimier, and way more interactive.”

Every iconic moment is being recreated with new tech and terrible judgment, from mundane errands gone horribly wrong to full-blown rampages across Paradise. It's still POSTAL 2, just one where you can dual-wield cats, chainsaws, and sledgehammers, all while flipping off protesters and “innocent” bystanders.

The Kickstarter campaign is live now and explicitly includes support for the VR version. That means every stretch goal (new episodes, multiplayer modes, sandbox enhancements, secret weapons) applies to VR just as much as flatscreen. Early bird backers can also score both versions for less than the retail price. Oh, and yes: you can finally pet the dog.

Explore the world at your own pace, taking on daily errands in a non-linear sandbox filled with unpredictable NPCs, interactive environments, and absurdly detailed physics.
