'Silent Hill f' Reveals More Story, Shows Off Gameplay, Combat And Several Grotesque Monsters - Trailer

by Rainier on Aug. 19, 2025 @ 6:22 p.m. PDT

Silent Hill f will be a completely new story set in 1960's Japan featuring a beautiful, yet horrifying world.

When Hinako Shimizu's secluded town of Ebisugaoka is consumed by a sudden fog, her once-familiar home becomes a haunting nightmare.

As the town falls silent and the fog thickens, Hinako must navigate the twisted paths of Ebisugaoka, solving complex puzzles and confronting grotesque monsters to survive.

Written by Ryūkishi07, famed for Japanese visual novels (When They Cry series) dealing with murder mysteries, psychological and supernatural horror, and produced by Motoi Okamoto.

Silent Hill f will challenge players with uncomfortable themes and their attached psychological torment. The game reflects the customs and culture of Japan during that era while delivering an intense and deeply emotional horror experience.

Immerse yourself into Hinako's world in a gripping tale of doubt, regret, and inescapable choices.

Will Hinako embrace the beauty hidden within terror, or succumb to the madness that lies ahead?

Just emerged from the fog during gamescom’s Opening Night Live: a terrifying new story trailer for Silent Hill f featuring the English voice-acting cast for the very first time!

Hinako Shimizu: Konatsu Kato / Suzie Yeung (English VO)

Suzie Yeung is best known for voicing Yuffie in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth and more recently Sue Storm/Invisible Woman in Marvel Rivals.

Official Editor’s Note From KONAMI:

A terrifying new story trailer for SILENT HILL f featuring the English voice-acting cast for the first time has just emerged from the fog during gamescom’s Opening Night Live showcase.

In Silent Hill f you'llbe able to explore authentic depiction of 1960s Japan, the intricate details of the misty townscape all the more striking when enjoyed at a 4K resolution.

Visuals and music continue that juxtaposition between beauty and terror. There is the terrible beauty of the game’s monster design – created by the artist kera that marries Japanese horror with the uniqueness of Silent Hill’s previous, terrifying creations – while composers Akira Yamaoka and Kensuke Inage fashion a score that evokes the past but is entirely fitting with this new setting.

Puzzles are grounded in psychological anguish and suffering. These are deeply connected to the story by scriptwriter Ryukishi07, as well as elements of Japanese culture, such as scarecrows (which has inspired some of the haunting scenes you’ll see in the trailer).

Silent Hill f features unique combat. The encounters are as challenging as the obstacles that Hinako must overcome in life. The combat will have a heavier focus on melee and be more action-oriented compared to last year’s Silent Hill 2.

The Standard Edition of SILENT HILL f, when purchased early/pre-ordered, includes bonuses such as a White Sailor School Uniform for Shimizu Hinako, Omamori:Peony, and a special item pack with in-game consumables.

The Deluxe Edition of SILENT HILL f grants unique digital bonuses including outfits, soundtrack samples, artbook, and 48-hours of early access. Standard Editions are available to pre-order as both physical and digital versions while the Digital Deluxe Edition comes as a digital download.

After launch, players can purchase the Deluxe Upgrade to enhance their game with the bonuses from the Deluxe Edition.

Silent Hill f is coming to PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC (Steam / Epic Games Store) on September 25, 2025.
