'Kingdom Come: Deliverance II' To Get Legacy of the Forge Story DLC In September - Screens & Trailer

by Rainier on Aug. 20, 2025 @ 12:51 a.m. PDT

Kingdom Come: Deliverance II is an Action/RPG that lets you dive back into the immense and immersive world of middle-ages Bohemia as you continue Henry’s journey.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance II is a true sequel to the original but has been developed and written in such a way that it is perfect for newcomers to Bohemia and returning knights alike.

Diving back into the heart-pounding world of 15th Century Bohemia (Central Europe), Kingdom Come: Deliverance II picks up where its predecessor left off, thrusting players into the shoes of Henry, the steadfast son of a blacksmith embroiled in a tumultuous tale of vengeance, betrayal, and self-discovery.

In this gripping sequel, players will traverse a meticulously crafted medieval landscape, from the humble confines of a blacksmith's forge to the grandeur of royal courts, all while navigating the treacherous currents of a kingdom torn apart by civil war.

Across two new maps — double the size of the previous game — players can explore the beautiful and diverse Bohemian Paradise (a real-world location you can still visit in the Czech Republic) from the majestic Trosky Castle to more urban environments such as the silver mining town of Kuttenberg (a Unesco World Heritage site).

Warhorse Studios and Deep Silver revealed a first look at Kingdom Come: Deliverance II’s next story expansion, Legacy of the Forge, where Henry journeys toward becoming a master of Kuttenberg's blacksmith guild.

Returning to Kuttenberg, Henry puts his blacksmithing skills to the test to acquire and repair a legendary burnt-down forge, where his father, Martin, spent his youth as an apprentice. Venturing down memory lane, Henry learns of his father’s legacy as a blacksmith, revealing a part of his life that has remained hidden until now. Gaining new blacksmith prestige, Henry becomes a forge master, helping the people of Kuttenberg with sword crafting, armor-smithing, and other quirky requests.

In addition to new daily quests, Henry will unlock the ability to earn cash, enabling a brand-new home customization system with over 136 million combinations to personalize Henry’s very own forge, private quarters, and its surroundings. Once decked out, the forge becomes a place to return to and call home. How you choose to design Henry’s home has a direct impact on your gameplay. Players must choose between aesthetics and utility, but over time, everything can be upgraded.

Legacy of the Forge features:

  • Henry’s very own home – Personalize your forge, private quarters, and its surroundings with brand-new design features, allowing you to build a unique home with a customization system that offers over 100 million combinations.
  • Continue Henry’s journey of discovery – Return to Kuttenberg and venture down memory lane. Meeting acquaintances of your late father, turning strangers into allies in a meaningful pursuit to achieve your family’s legacy. Uncover a part of your father’s life that has remained hidden - until now.
  • Enhance your blacksmithing skills – Rise through the ranks to become the master of Kuttenberg's blacksmith guild, taking on blacksmithing commissions that will bolster your reputation. Unlock unique blueprints for new armor and weapons all while helping the people of Kuttenberg with sword crafting, armor-smithing, and some more quirky requests.

Players will be able to continue Henry’s story when the Legacy of the Forge story expansion launches September 9, 2025 on PC (Steam), Xbox Series X|S, and PS5 for $13.99.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance II Gold Edition or Expansion Pass owners will automatically receive the new content. Unlock the full experience with Kingdom Come: Deliverance II Gold Edition, which includes the base game, Gallant Huntsman's Kit, and Expansion Pass (containing access to all three paid story DLCs and Shields of Season passing pack).

The combat system of Kingdom Come: Deliverance II has been revamped to make it more accessible while staying true to its nature as a depiction of real medieval martial arts. From elegant swordplay to deadly ranged attacks, such as the newly added crossbows or early gunpowder weapons, players will be able to fight like a true medieval knight.

The game is also a true to the core RPG experience, where you can take multiple approaches to quests, evolve Henry in any way you see fit, and get lost in a responsive and lively world.

Join Henry on his quest for redemption and revenge in 1403 Bohemia later this year and remember: "Audentes fortuna iuvat."

Kingdom Come: Deliverance II is available for PC (Steam), PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
