NVIDIA Brings DLSS 4 With Multi Frame Generation To Death Relives And The First Descendant

by Rainier on Aug. 5, 2025 @ 6:00 a.m. PDT

More than 700 games and applications feature RTX technologies, and each week new games integrating NVIDIA DLSS, NVIDIA Reflex, and advanced ray-traced effects are released or announced, delivering the definitive PC experience for GeForce RTX players.

This week, DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation is multiplying performance in Death Relives and The First Descendant

Here’s a look at these new games and how NVIDIA’s RTX technology is delivering the definitive PC experience for GeForce RTX players.

  • The First Descendant: Powered by Unreal Engine 5, The First Descendant is a free, third-person cooperative action-RPG shooter that lets you experience the fun of strategic boss fights through 4-player co-op. Season 3, “Breakthrough,” launches Aug 7, adding a massive new open area to explore and fight in, a new Field Colossus Raid, a new hoverbike mount to make traversing large areas faster, and a crossover with the much-loved action RPG NieR: Automata. The game already included support for DLSS Frame Generation, DLSS Super Resolution, DLSS Ray Reconstruction, DLAA, Reflex, and several ray-traced effects. But with the launch of Season 3, DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation joins the party, multiplying frame rates at 4K by an average of 4.9X.
  • Death RelivesNyctophile Studios’ Death Relives is a survival horror puzzle game that sees an ancient Mesoamerican deity stalk the player as they solve puzzles in Aztec settlements and surrounding areas. To bring Death Relives to life, its developers leveraged the NVIDIA RTX Unreal Engine 5.4 branch to incorporate cutting-edge tech that accelerates performance, and enhances image quality and immersion. To maximize performance, DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation, DLSS Frame Generation, and DLSS Super Resolution are available, and NVIDIA Reflex reduces PC latency, making gameplay more responsive.

Additionally, GeForce Evangelist Jacob Freeman and the NVIDIA team are heading back to Texas for QuakeCon 2025, taking place Aug 7-10. If you’re attending, head straight to the NVIDIA booth for a chance to win prizes, which this year include three customized DOOM: The Dark Ages RTX PCs, GeForce RTX 50 Series GPUs, and more. There’ll also be other chances to win, such as our DOOM II RTX and DOOM: The Dark Ages challenges, where you can demonstrate your gaming prowess for a chance to win a GeForce RTX 5070 Founders Edition GPU. Each entrant will also receive a custom GeForce RTX-QuakeCon frisbee.

Visitors can also play DOOM: The Dark AgesIndiana Jones and the Great Circle, and Doom 2: RAY TRACED with path tracing, and other great games like The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered with maxed out settings. You’ll find all the details here.
