In the vast and peaceful sea lies Rataport, a vibrant island bustling with life. Here, the Ratatans, mysterious yet charming creatures, live in harmony with their friends. Though they differ in appearance and personality, they share a single dream: to journey to The Everafter and meet the legendary Goddess said to reside there. Fueled by hope, the Ratatans set out on their adventure, undeterred by failure, determined to one day stand before her.

The Ratatans are groove-loving adventurers that use the power of song and magical instruments called Melodium to command their armies of Cobun. Lead your troops by issuing rhythmic commands, guiding them through massive dynamic battles where strategic positioning, timely orders, and well-planned retreats will be the key to your success!

Developer Ratata Art’s and publisher Game Source Entertainment announced that Ratatan is available through Steam Early Access at $24.99 USD / EUR €24.50 with a 10% launch discount.

During Early Access the game will receive three major updates - in addition to various system modifications and improvements. One of the upcoming updates will introduce the highly requested Super Fever skills, along with headwear for Cobuns! Additionally, new characters known as Dark Ratatans will be added, enriching the game's world. Furthermore, Ratatan is planned to launch for console platforms during Spring 2026!

'Journey So Far and Appreciation' - A Message from Producer Kazuto Sakajiri   The demo released during the Steam Next Fest in June surpassed 270,000 downloads, and received extensive feedback through reviews and surveys. This Early Access build reflects these voices, featuring UI improvements and tutorial adjustments to enhance gameplay experience.

The launch of early access is not the end but a new starting line. We will listen more than ever to player feedback and continue to develop Ratatan. Your evaluations and opinions will shape the future of this game.

Currently, Ratatan offers a unique action experience centered around rhythm and strategy, featuring multiple worlds, companion characters, online multiplayer for up to four players, and random elements that change with each run.
