Team17 and Crowbar Collective are giving vigilantes a chance to get hands-on with a playtest for Rogue Point.

How to join the Playtest: 

• The playtest will first go live via Twitch drops at 2pm bst, 24th September
• Playtest signups will happen on Steam at 6pm bst, 25th September
• Demo will run until 12pm, 29th September 

Playtest features: 

• You’ll encounter different enemies, maps, and guns that you can purchase with money earned in prior missions. 
• Since the last public demo the team have implemented ADS
• Objectives will include Bomb Diffusal, Merx Hunt, Hostage Rescue, Intel Capture (Laptop Decryption) and Strike Missions
• Raid Mission: The final campaign mission, where players must fend off multiple waves of enemies before extraction.
• 20+ skills to customise your character with.
• Once you get to the end, everything resets but some perks do remain. You unlock cosmetic rewards per playthrough. Perks, Weapons, Armour are on a per campaign basis only. Crowbar Collective want to ensure players feel rewarded for going through the loop.
• Maps are spread across different locations and prior to choosing a map you and your squad will complete a planning phase and once you agree on a teamplay, you can get into the action.
• Rogue Point really emphasizes collaborative teamwork to successfully defeat the corporate stooges set upon using the MERX app. 

Key Features:

• Unlock cosmetics, weapons and campaign modifiers to create loadouts specific to the needs of the mission.  
• Plan and shoot your way through a dynamic campaign, where no two playthroughs are alike. 
• Each MERX class presents a unique threat, that challenges you in new and surprising ways.  
  • Soldier: Your basic grunt class. They carry pistols & assault rifles, throw grenades, and work in a squad. You’ll encounter these a lot in Rogue Point, but they are never to be underestimated.
  • Berserker: Juiced up on substances and with no regard for their own life, the Berserker's singular goal is to close the distance and slice your whole team with a machete. They are agents of chaos and will wreck your carefully crafted game plan.
  • Sniper: Heavily fortified in the far distance, snipers will pin your team down and deny you entry into important areas. Their only tell is the laser beam from their gun, and your teammate’s head exploding next to you.
  • Heavy: Heavies are big, slow brutes that don’t take cover and eat bullets. You can dump all your ammo into them with no effect. Run the other way, or find their one weakness.
  • 5-Star Mercenary: These legendary MERX commanders have received the top star rating in the app. Intel on these is sketchy, but we know that these endgame encounters will require your team’s full strength to have a chance to take them down. If you succeed, take a trophy from their body as proof you have triumphed.
• Evolve operators' skills, interacting with the rogue-lite element of the game.  
• Gather Intel, plan your assault, and adapt your strategy along the way. Fight your way through missions spread across 4 diverse locations, with each map reshaped by the game's Parametric Design System, offering new strategies and challenges with every play.

Rogue Point is coming to Steam Early Access in 2025, with full launch scheduled for 2026.
