Starfinder: Afterlight will have players scour the stars, face enemies armed with both mystical powers and advanced tech, and lead a team of charmingly questionable companions—each with their own storyline—in a universe-spanning adventure like no other.
Players had traveled far enough to witness the obliteration of the galaxy, and managed to get back alive. With the captain missing in action and doomsday close at hand, they will have to assemble a crew of misfits and save the Pact Worlds from a threat no one else can even believe. Piece of cake, right?
The iconic tabletop sci-fantasy RPG franchise lends its 2nd edition rules to a video game for the first time. This ensures plenty of intergalactic travel, eccentric creatures, sarcastic megacorporations, and gloriously chaotic quests with messy results. Starfinder: Afterlight offers a fresh take on tactical, turn-based combat, blending lasers and magic in a vibrant space opera.
Epictellers Entertainment and Paizo have revealed the first crew members of Starfinder: Afterlight: Tycho and Kole.
Starfinder: Afterlight centres on building bonds with unforgettable companions who are more than stats and abilities. Kole (class: Soldier) escaped his military family to pursue his dream of becoming an action film hero. In contrast, Tycho (class: Operative) is a skilled inventor ) who struggles to trust new people due to a tangled past –marked by deception and betrayal– that shaped his guarded outlook on life.
The studio also announced that Neil Newbon (Baldur’s Gate 3, Resident Evil Village) will take the role of voice director. Newbon will be responsible for guiding and shaping all voice acting in the game, from casting to final delivery, to make sure it fits the creative vision of the studio. The work has already begun, as two talented voice actors are announced to join the crew: Iniel Tomlinson (Dragon Age, Final Fantasy XVI) taking the role of Tycho, and Fred Tatasciore (Mass Effect, Marvel Rivals, Overwatch) as Kole.
Finally, Epictellers Entertainment and Paizo also announced that the Kickstarter campaign is set to start this October.
Starfinder: Afterlight is set to release in Steam Early Access in 2026.
