Star Trek: Voyager - Across the Unknown is a brand-new story-based survival strategy game set in the Star Trek universe.

Set aboard the U.S.S. Voyager and deep in the unexplored reaches of the Delta Quadrant, Star Trek Voyager: Across the Unknown invites players to relive—and redefine—the legendary starship’s journey back to earth. The game blends exploration, ship & resource management, roguelite elements, and meaningful choices. Experience crew dynamics and a fresh take on a beloved sci-fi universe — with what-if scenarios that open up new possibilities.

Player decisions shape both the fate of the crew and the configuration of the U.S.SVoyager itself. With each playthrough, the ship becomes a different version of itself—reengineered and reimagined based on the path taken through the quadrant and the command decisions made along the way.

In Star Trek: Voyager - Across the Unknown, players take command of the U.S.S. Voyager as it traverses 12 vast sectors of the Delta Quadrant. Along the way, they’ll manage systems and crew, engage in diplomacy, navigate difficult moral decisions, and face the unknown. Familiar faces return, but their fates may differ—reshaped by the captain on the bridge.

Daedalic Entertainment and developer gameXcite announce that Star Trek: Voyager – Across the Unknown will launch on February 18, 2026 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC.

With this announcement, the teams also confirm that Nintendo Switch 2 joins PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S for a simultaneous release across all platforms.

At the same time, preorders open today on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2, accompanied by the reveal of the Deluxe Edition.

Alongside the start of the preorder of the standard and digital deluxe versions, a free demo is now available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, incorporating the extensive feedback gathered from the community. The new version features improved UI clarity, enhanced ship-control feedback, refined combat pacing, and additional guidance in key decision-making moments, ensuring new captains can step onto the bridge with confidence. A demo for Nintendo Switch 2 is expected to follow soon as well as the updated version for the PC (Steam) demo.

In the demo, captains will navigate a sector inspired by the legendary pilot episode “The Caretaker”. The demo includes a guided tutorial and approximately an hour of gameplay, challenging players to keep their starship intact, their crew alive, and their heading true as they begin an epic journey back to the Alpha Quadrant.

In the tradition of Starfleet’s finest, the Deluxe Edition brings captains deeper into the unknown, adding new missions, new recruitable heroes, and powerful technologies drawn from pivotal alien encounters in the Delta Quadrant. This expanded content integrates directly into the campaign, offering fresh tactical options and new narrative possibilities for returning and first-time players alike.

As part of today’s announcement, Daedalic Entertainment and gameXcite also release a new video – the Combat Deep Dive – showcasing one of the core systems of Star Trek: Voyager – Across the Unknown and how the team brought Star Trek–authentic decision-making to life on the bridge of the U.S.S. Voyager. In Voyager-style combat, you don’t fly the ship like Tom Paris and you don’t manually fire weapons like Tuvok. You make captain’s calls: directing targets and subsystems, adjusting positioning and energy levels, deciding when to launch torpedoes, and more. These decisions shape authentic, tactical Star Trek combat.

“Following the demo release, we’ve taken lots of valuable player feedback on board. This valuable input allows us to refine core gameplay systems even further, polish localization, and add meaningful details – ensuring the journey through the Delta Quadrant will shine when the game launches in early 2026,” says Daniel Bernard, Game Director at gameXcite.

Jonas Hüsges, COO of Daedalic Entertainment GmbH, shared the following:
“Matching the spirit of Starfleet, we want to bring this adventure to as many of you as possible on day one. The additional time allows us to synchronize all platforms, including the newly added Nintendo Switch 2 version and improve the game on all levels. A unified launch is the right call for a story about a crew that survives by sticking together. We’re excited to give fans the best possible voyage home.”

Your decisions reshape both the ship and the crew. With consequences.
