Players have to explore the various floating towns and villages across the world, deal with threats and try and find a cure. Facing you are three different factions – all with their own pros and cons - and players have to choose their allies carefully, as every decision has the potential to create new adversaries.
Follow your friend's adventure closely, as their actions will shape your story, forcing you to adapt whether you like it or not. What’s more, decisions players make will have consequences for others following in your footsteps and the games unique asynchronous system allows players to follow their friends or streamers of their choice and react to their actions.
After briefly flirting with the idea of renaming the game Tides of the Day After Tomorrow, developer DigixArt and publisher THQ Nordic have decided to stick with Tides of Tomorrow — and to take a little extra time before launch.
Following extensive feedback gathered from the Tides of Tomorrow playable demo and an ongoing closed beta, the development team determined that additional time is needed to respond to player input and implement improvements. This extra development period will help ensure the best possible experience for the upcoming narrative-driven adventure.
