Will you be a Spellcaster they fear, or one they worship?

In a unique blend of third-person action and strategic decision making, challenges players to master both movement and magic to dictate the pace of the battle. Each match is played as a 3v3, fast paced 25-minutes showdown across mystical arenas of epic scale and verticality, where teams must capture altars to gain territory and destroy their opponents’ Lifestones to claim their victory. Players will step into the fight as Spellcasters, archetype-driven mages with distinct identities, defined roles, and signature abilities, capable of summoning hordes of creatures and casting powerful spells. Infused with magic, each Spellcaster can take to the skies and fly freely across the arena at any moment in battle to command the battlefield, unlocking a level of movement freedom rarely seen in the genre.

Spellcasters Chronicles sets itself apart thanks to its strategic deck-building system. Whether players choose a support, tank, or damage dealer archetype, they will be able to choose from a list of more than 50 spells and summons, bringing tactical adaptation and creative expression into the arena. Additionally, players will also have to choose one of the world-crushingly colossal ultimate summonses, The Titans, a high-sized and powerful creature capable of shifting the tide of battle. This hybrid of archetype-driven design and customizable decks makes every match in Spellcasters Chronicles a strategic battle, rewarding experimentation and team synergy.

In addition to its competitive core, Spellcasters Chronicles will introduce a singular approach to how stories are shaped in multiplayer experiences. This community-narrative aspect of the game will be introduced in the coming months.

Quantic Dream announced that Spellcasters Chronicles  is coming back with a second Closed Beta weekend on January 29, 2026 followed by Steam Early Access launch on February 26, 2026!

The devs have been working hard on optimization to improve your experience and added new features, new creatures, new spells, and even a beta ranked mode.

If you already have access from Closed Beta 1, you will automatically have access to Closed Beta 2 when the event starts.

If you've registered for a key but haven't received one yet, we will inform you via email how to redeem your Closed Beta key if you're selected to participate in this round. Keep an eye on your inbox; keys will be distributed a couple of days before the Beta! If you're not selected right away, don't worry. We'll keep granting access throughout the weekend to give a chance to as many players as possible to try out the game.

To mark the beginning of this new phase, Quantic Dream has unveiled a new non-playable character: Ozdam Devam, known as the Chronicler of Ashkenon. A passionate historian of the Tapestry and expert in the workings of the Source, he stands above the endless conflicts of Ashkenon, recording the rise and fall of empires. As a mysterious in-world narrator, Ozdam Devam serves as the intermediary between the community of Spellcasters and the world of mortals, guiding all those destined to change the future of Ashkenon.

This Closed Beta 2 will feature a range of new content and technical improvements. Among the new content, players will be able to experience:

• The Nordic Shore – A new 5-lane arena featuring open sightlines, harsh environmental conditions and a unique five lanes pattern.
• The Game Introduction & Tutorial – A new introduction and playable tutorial to help new players learn the basics.
• The In-game Team Text Chat – For players to communicate directly during matches.
• Player Reporting System – To help address toxic or inappropriate behavior.
• Spellcaster & Lifestone Customization – For players to test the customization features available for the Spellcasters and Lifestones.
• The Early Version of the Ranking System.
• Six New Spells – Players can include in their decks the Fire Rain, the Poison Grenade, the Ice Infusion, the Fire Infusion, the Sacrifice, and the Resurrection.
• Five New Summons – Players can include in their decks the Stone Behemoth, the Lich, the Faery, the Steam Tank, and the Wolven Hunter.
• Three New Buildings – Players can include in their decks the Harpy’s Nest, the Rampart, and the Ballista.

Players outside the server regions can still access the Closed Beta but may experience higher latency or reduced performance. More languages and regions will be rolled out as the game development progresses.

Following Closed Beta 1, we’ve been carefully reviewing your feedback and using it to improve the experience. A major focus for us was optimizing the game to improve the gameplay experience and to welcome new players. Closed Beta 2 will run on the following specs:
