'Nested Lands' Early Access Launch Delayed To Late February In Order To Add New Features And .... A Genital Slider

by Rainier on Jan. 22, 2026 @ 4:23 p.m. PST

Nested Lands is a survival/RPG set on a post-plague medieval world full of cruelty and despair. Gather survivors, build a settlement, craft, master your skills, survive, and endure alone or in online co-op.

Nested Lands is a brutally challenging survival game where the only options are to survive and endure or end up in an ever-growing pile of corpses.

A devastating plague has swept through the world, transforming it beyond recognition. A once lush, peaceful kingdom is now dark and mangled, with droves of bloodthirsty bandits and unpredictable madmen twisted by the plague roaming the lands. Show any sign of weakness, and death will come swiftly and painfully. There is no place for hope here; the remnants of humans, embittered and mutilated, can only pray to live another day.

In Nested Lands, you’ll start from nothing, rising to overcome monumental challenges and make your fame echo across the kingdom. Craft all the tools and resources you need to survive a harsh, highly interactive environment, build a settlement from the ground up, battle vicious foes, and recruit allies to help you. The unpredictably harsh weather and the coming winter are also your sworn enemies, and the highly detailed world full of random events won’t grant you a single moment’s rest. Every decision you make will be carefully watched and evaluated.

Will your name be praised by all, or will its very sound instill fear into the common folk who dwell in this massive open world?

The choice is yours.

META Publishing and 1M Bits Horde made the decision to delay the Steam Early Access launch of the upcoming medieval-adjacent survival settlement RPG Nested Lands to February 25th in order to add some crucial new features.

Apart from implementing some wacky environmental storytelling and additional immersive elements that make the game more fun to play with friends, the developers are also hard at work (pun intended) at adding the most crucial character creator feature of them all: a genital slider.

Because even in a country plagued by the Black Death and marauding bandits, some things simply have priority.

Key Features:

  • Fight Tooth and Nail: Revel in the challenge of brutal battles and take time to improve skills that will significantly affect your combat, survival, and item management. But stay sharp; even heavy armor can fail to protect you against the frantic blows of a starving vagrant.
  • Settlements Fit for a King: There are dozens of upgradable buildings, hundreds of objects to craft, decorate, and customize, and farms and animals. But don't let your newborn dynasty blind your vigilance; your surroundings are swarming with embittered souls ready to spill your blood and rip you apart.
  • Strength in Numbers: Break through the endless darkness by gathering the few other survivors who share your plight but have yet to fully give up hope. Save and recruit villagers during your journey across the world, but remember that they will need your protection.
  • Collect, Craft, Survive: A highly detailed crafting system provides countless possibilities for enduring the unforgiving and brutal world. Use the interactive environment to gather resources and craft medicine, weapons, buildings, and everything else your settlement needs to survive.
  •  It’s Dangerous to Go Alone: Explore the Nested Lands solo, or embrace the horrors of this dystopian world with your friends in co-op mode.

Nested Lands is in development for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC (Steam).
