Coyote Time Publishing Is A New Indie Publisher From Finland, Reveals First Titles

by Rainier on Jan. 28, 2026 @ 1:29 a.m. PST

Coyote Time Publishing is a new game publisher from Finland with the ambitious goal of bringing small indie studios to global recognition.

Jussi Loukiainen is the founder of the game publisher Coyote Time Publishing and the game studio Platonic Partnership. He has been active in the Finnish game industry for a long time and has seen firsthand how difficult it can be for even excellent indie games to find their audience. He has extensive personal experience working with publishers and developing games.

“Game development is hard enough, so finding players for your game shouldn’t be,” comments Jussi Loukiainen. “We founded Coyote Time Publishing with the idea that indie studios can focus on making games while we take care of everything related to bringing the game to market.”

The game industry is full of original ideas and emerging talent, yet many high-quality indie games go unnoticed because they are not given enough visibility. For a game to succeed, it needs its own community, contacts, influencers, and paid advertising. Coyote Time Publishing offers developers tailored support in finding the right audience, publishing, and marketing their games, ensuring each title gets the attention it truly deserves.

According to the Finnish game industry association Neogames, there are over 200 game studios in Finland alone that have only a few employees, annual revenue of under one million Euros, and they also self-publish their games. These can clearly be described as indie developers, and most of them need support in publishing their games.

“Small indie games can be competitive and distinctive even in the world’s largest game markets,” Loukiainen continues. “We don’t just publish games, but we help build communities, stories, and experiences that resonate with players around the globe. Small teams can achieve great things when they have an agile and caring partner like us.”

Coyote Time Publishing works with all kinds of game developers and provides them support through its own in-house team. Together, the team has over 70 years of experience in professional game development and the tools used in the industry. This allows the team to offer in-depth assistance when needed in areas such as game development, including user interface and user experience design, as well as performance optimization.

Coyote Time Publishing also supports studios with their own self-publishing efforts when needed. The company is currently developing suitable tools for this purpose.

The first games to be published by Coyote Time Publishing will come from the Finnish game studios Horsefly Games and Platonic Partnership.

“My own game studio, Platonic Partnership, will also see a boost for its upcoming game through Coyote,” Loukiainen comments. “It shows how important a close partnership between a studio and a publisher is for a game’s success. Even though our first published games come from close to home, we are interested in all kinds of partnerships from around the world.”
