*Vale Sangora*.
An enigmatic place, home to the events of The Blood of Dawnwalker, developed on Unreal Engine 5 by Rebel Wolves, the first chapter of a brand new role-playing saga.
14th century Europe. Bloody conflicts sweep the lands, and the Black Death comes for the survivors. In the wake of the disasters claiming thousands of lives, the decimated human population struggles for survival. It's a moment of weakness. In Vale Sangora, somewhere in a forgotten corner of the Carpathian Mountains, vampires seize their opportunity to walk out of the shadows, overthrow the feudal lords and claim what they've been denied for centuries: freedom, and ultimate power that comes with it. Legends turn into reality, and history as we know it will never be the same.
You play as Coen, a young man turned into a Dawnwalker, forever treading the line between the world of day and the realm of night. Use your skills and combine vampiric strength with human resolve as you take on a quest to save the ones you love. Face your foes – be they human, monster, or the ticking clock itself. But remember – the real evil may bask in the sun's light, and the most loyal of allies could lurk under the cover of night.
Things will be different now.
For all of you.
The latest teaser shows new characters who will play a key role in the adventure, as well as previously unseen locations from Vale Sangora – a mysterious region of the Carpathian Mountains that hides many secrets, waiting to be discovered by players. This video features gameplay captured from the current PC beta version of the game.
Along with the new teaser, Rebel Wolves also revealed the game’s official cover art, depicting the protagonist Coen – a Dawnwalker... cursed to be human by day and vampire by night – set against a backdrop of a solar eclipse, a nod to the crucial role both celestial bodies play in the world of The Blood of Dawnwalker.
Rebel Wolves also debuted the main musical theme of The Blood of Dawnwalker, filmed during a studio recording session. The piece was composed by Nikola Kołodziejczyk, the studio’s lead composer, and performed by the AUKSO Chamber Orchestra of Tychy.
“The theme leans heavily on sounds and instruments associated with the place and time of the game – the 14th century, at the foot of the Carpathian Mountains. We wanted to pay homage to that era and its people, and stay as true to historical authenticity as possible,” explains Nikola Kołodziejczyk, lead composer at Rebel Wolves.
Finally, staying in theme with marking the Wolf Moon and the year ahead, The Blood of Dawnwalker developers created a special video looking back over the past year – from the first official reveal, through an extensive gameplay presentation, to their presence at the biggest industry events. Rebel Wolves celebrates a year of announcements supported by the voices and feedback of the community and looks forward to sharing more soon.
