Focused on narrative discovery rather than combat, the game blends exploration, story-driven puzzles, and immersive audiovisual design to unfold a deeply personal journey. 

Players step into the role of Booker, a man haunted by the loss of his wife, Diana, and drawn into a place abandoned by time and reason. With no weapons, no allies, and no clear answers, Booker must navigate decaying spaces, follow the echo of a mysterious voice, and piece together the truth buried within this fractured world.

Exploration sits at the heart of Inner Voice. Players move through large, detailed environments that combine discovery with linear story progression, carefully inspecting spaces to uncover environmental clues, memories, and hidden narrative threads. Buildings and locations are fully explorable, encouraging curiosity and rewarding attention to detail.

Puzzles are woven directly into the world and narrative, serving as gateways to a deeper understanding of the game and lore. Solving them reveals fragments of Booker’s past, the nature of the world around him, and the meaning behind the choices players make along the way.

Developed entirely solo using Unreal Engine 5, Inner Voice features fully voice-acted performances, an original soundtrack, and high-fidelity visuals designed to immerse players in its surreal Victorian/Western-inspired setting.

“Inner Voice was built around the idea that environments can carry emotion and memory,” said solo developer, Nick Chronopoulos. “I wanted players to feel the story through the spaces they explore, the sounds they hear, and the choices they make.''

A Steam demo is available now so players can get a little taste of what's to come.

Inner Voice draws inspiration from narrative-driven and atmospheric experiences such as Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs, Dear Esther, and the emotionally charged atmosphere of Silent Hill, blending mood, environmental storytelling, and introspection.

Inner Voice is currently in development for PC (Steam and Epic Games Store), with planned releases on PlayStation 5 and Xbox at a later date.
