Tekken 8 pushes the envelope for fighting games and takes full advantage of the power of the latest generation of consoles

"Fist Meets Fate” in the dramatic new storyline in Tekken 8.

The Tekken series holds the Guinness World Record for being the longest-running video game storyline, with Tekken 8 continuing the tragic saga of the Mishima and Kazama bloodlines and their world-shaking father-and-son grudge matches. This latest saga begins where the previous title left off, with a world mired deep in the devastating war between Kazuya Mishima and Jin Kazama. After suffering what seems to be a defeat from Kazuya, Jin faces his own fate. His mother, Jun Kazama, appears after her absence from the Tekken franchise to try and turn the tide in this blood feud.

Tekken 8 will feature exciting new gameplay focused on “Aggressive” tactics. Retaining Tekken’s unique fighting game identity, the game will provide both players and spectators with the series’ most thrilling experience yet with visceral screen-jarring attacks and environments that are both dynamic and destructible.

Bandai Namco Entertainment announced Tekken 8 Season 3 along with unveiling new upcoming characters during: Kunimitsu, Bob, and Roger Jr.

Starting in March 2026, Tekken 8 Season 3 will commence, introducing a series of balance adjustments aimed at further refining the gameplay experience, alongside a rank reset.

The Season 3 Pass will be available for purchase starting on 10 February 2026, with Kunimitsu, the first Season 3 character, arriving in Late Spring 2026. Purchasing the Season 3 Pass grants access to all four planned characters with 120 hours of early access, as well as a new stage, which will be detailed at a later date. The exclusive Character Costume: Aurora Outfit Pack is also included and will be available for download from 10 February 2026.

In addition, DRX | LowHigh was crowned Tekken World Tour Finals 2025 Champion following an intense competition held in Malmö, Sweden.

Following the excitement of the Tekken World Tour Finals 2025, Tekken World Tour Finals 2026 has also been officially announced. The new competitive season will kick off in May 2026 at EVO Japan, and conclude with the final Master Event at Thaiger Uppercut 2026. Master+ events will include EVO Japan, EVO Las Vegas, and EVO Nice, while Master events will be announced later this year. Additional details on the World Tour Finals 2026 will be revealed later this year.

In Tekken 8, all characters’ models have been completely remade from the ground up, making the most of the latest generation of hardware and providing a better experience for players.

Tekken 8 is available for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam).
