Pioner is an open-world MMO first-person shooter set in a haunting, alternative-reality world where Soviet-era structures lie abandoned on a desolate, post-apocalyptic island.

In this immersive environment, the gameplay experience is defined by dynamic PvE and PvP elements, where realism takes priority over traditional health bars or character levels. With a sprawling map of 50+ square kilometers, not counting hidden dungeons, players can explore a world rich with mystery and danger, encountering story quests and faction missions that influence relationships and loyalty rewards.

As an MMO, Pioner emphasizes player-driven storytelling and social interaction, offering both PvE and PvP experiences. Players can engage in story-driven quests or faction missions, where building loyalty with various groups unlocks rewards and additional narrative content. Combat against other players is intense, with special areas designated for these confrontations within the "Shadowlands." Following its Steam Early Access launch last December and successful New Year’s event, the game has just received its next major update: “Depths of Tartarus!”

Now available for free to all Pioner players, this latest thrilling update introduces new story content, fresh threats, PvP additions, and a brand-new multiplayer raid.

The update includes:

• New Raid: Crab Island - A multiplayer activity that puts players face to face with disgraced pirates, mutant crabs, and several new bosses
• New PvP Map: Dawn, available for the 6v6 “Brawl” mode
• New World Event “Power of Earth” and secret World Event “A Gift from Heaven,” both giving players a chance to obtain valuable rewards, including the M60, M60 Hybrid, and P90 weapons
• Added special recipes for resource downgrading, available from certain traders
• Significant amount of bug fixes and quality-of-life improvements across the board

To celebrate the update, PIONER is available on Steam at a 20% discount until February 16.
