During this past weekend’s ARC WORLD TOUR 2025-2026 FINALS in South Korea, Arc System Works was pleased to share multiple announcements forGuilty Gear -Strive-.

This includes more details on Guilty Gear -Strive- Version 2.00, Season Pass 5, and the game’s newest playable character.

As a free major update for players, Guilty Gear -Strive- Version 2.00 will arrive on April 9, 2026 and feature comprehensive battle balance adjustments, the addition of new special moves for select characters, and the introduction of a new "Counter Blitz" mechanic. Furthermore, players can look forward to the "Blazing Pass" system, allowing them to earn in-game rewards based on their in-game progression. The Blazing Pass is scheduled to be added in May 2026.

In addition, a Guilty Gear -Strive- Version 2.00 Starter Edition has been announced as an incredible value bundle that includes the base game alongside all currently available DLC (including the brand-new Season Pass 5). This is the perfect starting point for newcomers to GUILTY GEAR -STRIVE-, so don't miss out!

Keep your burners on low and kicks on high as the indomitable iron fist chef, Jam Kuradoberi, will make her debut on April 9, 2026 ($6.99 individual DLC) to kick off Season 5 in Guilty Gear -Strive-!

The new Season 5 will continue with DLC character #19 Robo-Ky (scheduled for Summer 2026) and two additional DLC characters scheduled for Winter 2026 and Spring 2027, respectively. For players purchasing the full Season Pass 5 ($24.99), they will receive all four DLC characters – plus a special Season Pass 5 Purchaser Bonus including Additional Battle Stage #9 "Cradled by the Four Beasts", Season 5 Characters Additional Colors (7 colors for the 4 characters, total 28 colors), GGST Wanted Poster Skin "Street", and GGST Battle UI Skin "Vintage Metal".
