Instead of climbing the Tower of Barbs, players will embark on a dark descent into Hell Gate: a vast, shifting chasm born from an unprecedented cataclysmic event. Deep within this chasm, time and space are distorted, and strange hybrid creatures wander. A legendary treasure known as the “Eye of the Reaper” is said to be hidden among them, bestowing the power to rule the world to whoever uncovers it.
In Let It Die: Inferno, players will dive deeper into the series’ twisted world with new stories, expanded lore, and even the return of Uncle Death. Taking on the role of immortal explorers known as Raiders, players must quest to uncover the Eye of the Reaper within Hell Gate.
Your quest won’t be easy: survival is everything inside Hell Gate. Grotesque creatures, hostile humans, and rival players await in a dynamic PvEvP system where chaos reigns and no two runs are ever the same. Stage layouts and item placements shift with each attempt, forcing Raiders to adapt on the fly. To survive, players must strategically combine unique weapons and special abilities as they battle both the environment and each other. Fail, and you’ll be sent back to the very beginning.
For those seeking an even greater challenge, Raiders can test their survival skills directly against other players in competitive matches.
GungHo Online Entertainment (GOE) revealed that Let It Die: Inferno Season 2 launches March 10 at 12 a.m. PT.
Season 2 expands how players survive (and die) inside Hell Gate.
- New Modes, Same Brutality: Season 2 introduces two new ways to descend into Hell Gate. In Solo Mode (PvE), players can venture in alone to test their mettle against the Yuckies, while Duo Mode (PvE with a friend) allows Raiders to team up and fight side-by-side. And for those who think they already know every corner of Hell Gate, think again. Enemy placements across the map have shifted, creating fresh challenges around every turn.
- Brutal New Weapons: Season 2 introduces three additions to your arsenal.
- Shield: A guard-focused weapon with a hidden feature. When held with both hands, its guard type changes from High to Middle, allowing you to counterattack enemies you normally wouldn’t be able to.
- Vampiric Tree: A weapon that delivers a heavy single attack normally, as well as a charged spinning double strike. When used to deal a deathblow, it inflicts “Curse” in one hit, making it ideal for aggressive duo follow-ups (and slightly evil PvP players).
- Dekotora: A customized weapon built from a truck. Yes, a truck. It features a chargeable attack with three levels. Take out foes with a powerful deathblow, or slide in with “Hellish Drive” for a moving attack.
- New Items and Skins: Season 2 brings tons of new ways to customize your Raider and base, with a new backpack, charms, interior, and emotes.
- Start Dash Event: Players who defeat the final boss during the event period will receive exclusive cosmetic rewards.
- Lock-on Targeting: Players can now lock on to enemies, keeping a selected target centered on screen during fast-paced fights.
- Additional features include Elite enemies with glowing or flashing eyes, a new Mastery system, improved daily quests, and additional craft slots.
Let It Die: Inferno is available for PS5 and PC (Steam) at $24.99
