Day of DefeatTM is a World War II-themed multi-player first-person action game powered by the award-winning Half-Life® engine. The team-based game pits players in Axis vs. Allies battles in Western Europe at the height of the war in 1944. Gamers join either the Axis or Allied forces as a unique player class - which includes everything from scouts to sharpshooters, as they are tasked, as a unit, to complete historically accurate missions and goals unique to each battlefield.
KEY FEATURES:
Choose Your Own Class - Players choose from a wide selection of playable character classes, including snipers, infantry, machine-gunners, riflemen and sergeants.
True-To-Life World War II Weapons - Gamers have access to historical weaponry and items used in WWII such as the Allies' M1 Carbine and the Axis' Mauser Karbiner 98K sniper rifle, an SS knife and more.
Historical Missions - Day of Defeat offers dozens of missions based on World War II's greatest battles, which accurately represent the history of the Great War.
Multi-Player At Its Best - With built-in support for voice communication, players can speak and interact with other squad members as they coordinate attacks, discuss tactics, warn each other of incoming enemies or just hold casual conversation. An easy to read HUD displays critical information such as objective status, ammunition and other key in-game support.
