This holiday, Xbox One will be the only console to support backward compatibility natively for select Xbox 360 games, for free, and all with Xbox One features including screenshots, broadcasting and GameDVR.
Official support for Xbox 360 backwards compatibility will roll out this fall with more than 100 games supported, but Xbox One preview members can give backwards compatibility a go TODAY with the following titles:
- Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts
- Banjo-Kazooie
- Banjo-Tooie
- BattleBlock Theater
- Defense Grid
- Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved
- Hexic HD
- Jetpac Refuelled
- Kameo: Elements of Power
- Mass Effect
- Perfect Dark
- Perfect Dark Zero
- Small Arms
- Super Meat Boy
- Toy Soldiers
- Toy Soldiers: Cold War
- Viva Piñata
- Viva Piñata: TIP
Give today’s announcement of Rare Replay, it’s no surprise to see a number of Rare games on the initial backwards compatibility list.
Even if you don’t own any Xbox 360 games, if you’re a preview member you can still give the backwards compatibility a go with Hexic HD. That game was included free with every Xbox 360 hard drive and every system with 4GB of on-board storage. It is also available for free via Xbox Live in case purchasers accidentally deleted the pre-loaded copy.
Download Hexic HD via Xbox.com free of charge.
