Developed by Splash Damage and built on id Software's new MegaTexture rendering technology, Enemy Territory: Quake Wars pits the armies of Earth against the invading alien Strogg in the ultimate online strategic shooter. Featuring strategic team play, persistent character promotions, day and nighttime combat missions, and the universe's most powerful weapons and vehicles, Enemy Territory: Quake Wars transports players to the front lines of an epic new war for Earth.

David Nadler: Splash Damage kicks ass. What more can I say? I love Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory, and this should top it by a long shot. They've got a good game engine, they've obviously got game design talent, and the style of gameplay is right up my alley. I'm an online FPS player, and this is one of the few FPS games coming out in the near future that holds any interest to me.

Matt Mefford: The long-anticipated title from Splash Damage is coming! As the makers of Return to Castle Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory, these guys know how to make a multiplayer game! Set in the not-so-distant future, the fearsome Strogg invade Earth. Quake Wars not only sets up the backstory for Quake 2 and Quake 4, it delivers next-gen technology in the same multiplayer format that we have come to love so much in the first Enemy Territory. All your favorite player classes are back, but with a Stroggified twist. The Medics for the Earth Defense Force (EDF) serve in the traditional military role, but for the Strogg the Medic doesn't revive his teammates…rather, he infests a helpless human host. When a teammate dies, he will now respawn inside the infested host. If that isn't reason to look forward to this upcoming title, you don't have a pulse!
