In Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter, players will embody Captain Scott Mitchell as he commands the Ghosts and Special Forces allies equipped with the IWS in the quest to save the president of the United States, recover stolen nuclear codes and eliminate a vicious band of renegade soldiers hell-bent on unleashing catastrophe. The game unfolds entirely in Mexico City, where numerous, meticulously researched and detailed environments will deliver complete immersion into the future of urban warfare. Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter will also include multiplayer and cooperative gameplay with exciting new elements, continuing the Ghost Recon tradition of setting the bar for multiplayer action.

Chad "Wudi" Crawford: I'll admit that I wasn't a fan of the original Ghost Recon: it seems that within three minutes of starting a map, my team would be all but dead. However, as I played new iterations in the series, it really started to grow on me, to the point where Advanced Warfighter has me foaming at the mouth. Maybe it's the breathtaking graphics, the redesigned HUD with the Cross-Com that lets you see what your soldiers see, or the robust multiplayer with competitive and cooperative modes over Xbox Live. Of course, it's more likely that this is the deepest, most complete Ghost Recon the series has yet to see that will make this iteration a must-have for fans both old and new.

Thomas Leaf: Ghost Recon assaults the next generation of consoles early this year, hoping to escape its prior generation's malaise. I'm sorry, but GR2 for PS2 and Xbox was a paltry follow-up to arguably the coolest tactical shooter since, well, Rainbow Six. This time around, the narrative takes you to Mexico of all places, and let me tell you, Mexico City hasn't looked better, in a manner of speaking. That is, if deformable terrain, insanely textured maps, intricate architecture and a copious amount of flying lead doesn't sound "better" to you. GRAW looks to me like the early watershed mark of tactical shooters with its brand-new graphics engine and intricate squad controls and the level of capabilities your squad of Ghost will muster. I expect GRAW will redefine what the Army meant when it said, "An Army of One."

Justin Raymond: I admit I wasn't a big fan of the original Ghost Recon. I thought it was a little too strict in its gameplay, a little slow, and kind of dull. Some friends lured me into picking up Ghost Recon 2 for the Xbox, and I was hooked. What a change! The massive level of detail, tight AI, challenging missions, and well-designed levels made for a great game, especially when played online with friends. Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter looks to take everything that was great about GR2 and amplify it by 10. It looks fantastic.
