As WP's managing editor, I edit review and preview articles, attempt to keep up with the frantic pace of Rainier's news posts, and keep our reviewers on deadline, which is akin to herding cats. When I have a moment to myself and don't have my nose in a book, I like to play action/RPG, adventure and platforming games.

2. 'The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt' (PS4/XOne/PC)

Marking the final installment in the action RPG trilogy, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt combines decision-based storytelling flair with a living open world larger than any other in modern RPG history.

Chris DeAngelus: The first two Witcher games have a well-deserved reputation among RPG fans for their hard-hitting stories and unforgiving combat. It's no surprise that the new Witcher is eagerly anticipated. Players follow Geralt as he seeks to stop a mysterious army known only as the Wild Hunt from leaving the land in ruins. With top-of-the-line graphics and a refined combat system, the title looks to take the dark fantasy of The Witcher to the next level. Fans of the franchise have been waiting a long time for Geralt's latest adventure, but it certain looks worth the wait.

Brian Dumlao: The first Witcher game helped set the standard for how an open-world action-RPG on the PC can be done by a relatively small team. The second expanded that story tremendously while showing how that same team could pull off a technical miracle on a home console. The third comes to the PS4, Xbox One and PC with a much more refined formula, the promise of a great story, and the ability to play as more than just Geralt. If you aren't excited about this title, you're likely not an RPG fan.

Rhi "StormyDawn" Mitera: The Witcher series always delivers, and from what I've seen of Wild Hunt, it doesn't differ in that regard. Add in a new fighting system and a huge world to play in, and it may exceed its predecessors. Plus, I'm thrilled they chose the Wild Hunt mythology to play in; it's a favorite of mine, and I'm always interested to see how writers translate it into a story or game setting.

Tony "OUberLord" Mitera: The epic trilogy of Geralt is coming to a close. The series has always been a big game, but The Witcher 3 looks to be the biggest to date in every category. The switch to an open-world format will hopefully yield many hours of tangents to embark on, while the graphics and combat continue to reach new levels of polish. I've yet to get my hands on the game and can't wait to check it out for myself.

Rainier Van Autrijve: CD Projekt is back with another installment in The Witcher action/RPG franchise, and it is looking to be yet another superb title. The vast open world is full of lush environments, sprawling cities and lively villages, all just waiting to be explored. I've been a fan of the series since the first title, and I've played through both the standard and enhanced editions. The combat is finely tuned, and the range of spells is intriguing, but the story always captivates me. For some reason, CD Projekt is able to lure me in for one more quest, no matter the time of day. The Witcher 3 has been eagerly awaited by many fans, and in a few more months, our patience will be rewarded. Although this is said to be the final episode in the saga, I hope this will not be the last we hear of Geralt of Rivia. At the very least, I hope there will be a continuation of the lore, even with different characters.
