About Judy

As WP's managing editor, I edit review and preview articles, attempt to keep up with the frantic pace of Rainier's news posts, and keep our reviewers on deadline, which is akin to herding cats. When I have a moment to myself and don't have my nose in a book, I like to play action/RPG, adventure and platforming games.

16. 'Psychonauts 2' (PS4/XSX/XOne/PC)

In Psychonauts 2, Raz fulfills his dreams and visit the Psychonauts Headquarters as a fully established agent. When he gets there, he finds it's not the perfect place he expected, and he quickly realizes that the Psychonauts need him more than he needs them.

Chris "Atom" DeAngelus: The original Psychonauts was a cult classic that gained a fandom long after its lackluster initial release. It's that same fandom that propelled the small title toward a sequel. This time, Raz is a full-fledged Psychonaut who has to bring his psychic talents to bear to save the Psychonauts organization from disaster. What we've seen makes it look like a very faithful sequel with the same visual style, gameplay, and sense of humor that made the original so beloved.

Cody Medellin: Double Fine's platformer about a young psychic at camp has been both a critical and cult hit for well over a decade. We've actually seen footage of this title for several years, so we know that there's actually work being done on it. After the developer was purchased by Microsoft two years ago, we're hoping that this game will finally release, especially since the market seems ready for 3D platformers again.

David Silbert: Double Fine Productions is famous for its quirky worlds and endearing characters. The studio has covered a wealth of genres, from RPGs to point-and-clicks. However, its most iconic work would have to be Psychonauts, a 2005 platformer about kids, summer camp, and psychic powers. A decade and a half later, Psychonauts 2 looks to capture our imaginations all over again when it launches later this year.
