Redmond Carolipio: It's a little scary hearing whispers about how big this expansion could be, considering all of the arcane lore and narratives that were part of the base game. FromSoftware set the world on fire with the original Elden Ring, so I'm curious to see what other subtle, masterful bits of innovation it could sneak in there while I'm getting killed for the 233rd time in a row. Even if this ends up just being more Elden Ring, players will follow and enjoy.
Chris "Atom" DeAngelus: In some ways, Elden Ring DLC is all you need to say to explain why this is anticipated. FromSoft's biggest and most popular game to date has players chomping at the bit to venture back into the world, and even with the details being scarce, there's nothing more that needs to be said. It's more Elden Ring.
Andreas Salmen: As much as I have enjoyed FromSoftware games, my engagement with its DLCs has been hit-and-miss. Then again, Elden Ring is a different beast from previous FromSoft endeavors. We have waited a long time for this DLC, so expectations are riding high, but we have yet to learn much about what this DLC actually entails. One thing is for sure: We can look forward to a few gnarly and spectacular boss encounters, and that's almost all I need — and perhaps a new area that recaptures the sense of discovery that Elden Ring evoked so effectively through death. It wouldn't be an actual FromSoftware creation otherwise.
