Redmond Carolipio: This is on my list because it just seems so weird. No Kojima or Yoji Shinkawa, no Fox Engine, but a straight-up remake of one of the finest (if not the finest) games in the series. I'll play the crap out of it, of course, but this feels like a goofy thing to even exist.
Chris "Atom" DeAngelus: Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater is considered one of the finest games of all time, so it's no surprise that it is joining the long list of upcoming remakes. Bringing the aging PS2 game into the modern generation without losing the charm and flavor of the original is a difficult task, but Delta seems to be giving it an excellent shot, and assuming it can retain all of the Kojima-flavored uniqueness of the original, it has the potential to be a must-play.
Tony "OUberLord" Mitera: Fans of the Metal Gear series haven't gotten anything since 2018's release of Survive — if you don't ignore that problematic game and go back to 2015's Phantom Pain. Delta is a remake of 2004's Snake Eater, which was arguably one of the best entries the series has had. It'll also be the first Metal Gear game to be released since the departure of long-time designer Hideo Kojima. It's a remake and not a brand-new entry, but I'm curious how the series will be handled without him going forward, and Delta may still answer some of those questions.
